I saw some questions about Prezios' S-AFC install. Here is how I did mine, and I assume he did his the same.

S-AFC dash mount:
Note: This involves some cutting of dash pieces and thus isn't easily reversible.

Overview:
The S-AFC is mounted under the radio using the black storage bin as your mount. The bin is notched about 1" to fit the S-AFC flush. The dash trim needs to be opened about 1/8" since the unit is slightly larger than DIN size. This is from memory, excuse any minor errors.

1. Remove the black storage bin from under the radio.
A. Uncap and unscrew the two screws under the armrest on the center console.
B. Remove each piece of the center console starting from the back and working your way forward. After the first two screw the rest is just held in by clips, but must be removed in order. Unclip various wires for mirrors and cigarette lighter along the way.
C. Unscrew the metal frame that holds the radio and bin in place (4 screws).
D. Unscrew the bin from that frame (2 screws). The screws in the radio may need to be loosened to get the locating pins of the bin out.

2. Cut the bin.
A. Measure the width of the AFC and transfer this measurement centered to the bin. Note that the sides are not perfectly strait, so your cut shouldn't be at 90 either.
B. Depth of cut = depth of the AFC – the thickness of the plastic trim pieces (will explain later) – relief of radio. Depending on if your using the stock radio or something else, you'll want the S-AFC to be flush with that, not necessarily the dash.
C. Drill a hole in the back for the wiring to come out.

3. Make up a pair of side trim pieces.
A. I used the black plasitc from inside an old CD case. Anything will do, but that was the right color and texture (and available to anyone)
B. They could either be the height of the S-AFC or the height of the current dash opening. I preferred to make it the height of the opening for a cleaner look.

4. Mount the AFC and side trim.
A. Double sided foam tape is sufficient. One piece along the top of the bin edge, another on the bottom. If your cuts in 2A were good, it should be very tight and the foam tape is only need to keep it from falling out forward.
B. Use some plastic model or crazy glue to hold these on. The bin has a fair amount of surface area on this front edge for gluing. Align these with the top edge of the AFC.

5. Trim the center dash surround.
A. You'll probably need to "open" this up by about 1/8". Try a test fit to get the exact height and mark where the left and right edges of the AFC fall (don't assume you had it centered before). A dremel works well here.

6. Reinstall the bin into the metal frame and put the dash trim pieces back in. All done!

Edit - fix picture

Thanks cwhalgren I must give you the credit. You did a great job on the install in your car. I just needed to do it for myself. You deserve the credit for this little mod!

Hey Mike Moffa-
Is that a brake bias knob jutting out of your center console? Nitrous?

Anyone have any recomandations for the brand name of spray paint? And what color should I use for BRP? The Rustoleum I'm using just isn't getting along with me.
