What is my car missing? (pics inside)...

Hey everyone,
I feel that my car needs a little bit more style...The things that have already crossed my mind are a CF hood w/ translucent white paint, and the factory body kit in white. Oh, and these are my racing wheels, and I have white 18's for my street wheels. I also have a STi-style Genome grille sitting in my garage, just waiting for me to take it to get painted, and I have the STi-style, no logo, CF side marker covers as well, also not on the car. Any help is greatly appreciated, and as always if you don't like it, you don't need to post and be an A$$hole about it....
:D:devil:

Get some white JDM markers and an STi Hood scoop. Maybe debade the rear?
| kenchan | 10-06-2003 11:40 AM |
you need a lip and a lighter color set of wheels.

I have clear corners on, hehe, and I actually have an extra set of clear corners cause the ones on there melted, and I had to RTV the bulb holder in there. I also have the CF side markers, that I might try out. I was thinking about getting the graphics redone in CF....hehe

Slap those white rims on and then take a pic! You also are maybe missing a subtle body kit like Ociari or whatever its called.

I just put the factory kit on my car and it really looks more agressive, especially with aftermarket wheels. When I see it on a stock height car, with stock rims it looks okay, but with some rims and springs.

Yea thats what I was thinking. I have coilovers, and 2 sets of aftermarket wheels so I figured it would look pretty good. I had always liked the CWEST v2 front bumper but I can't see spending $1000+ for it after painting and shipping and everything else.
I also forgot to mention that I ordered some Lamin-X yellow protective film, which I'm not sure if will go with the white car, but I'll give it a shot. It comes off pretty easily I hear.
Thanks for the help....keep it comin :) :alien:

Yea, my dad said he talk to the dealer where we bought my car, and told them all the stuff i had done to my car, and what I've doing with it, etc, and they told him they wanted me to let my car sit out in front of the dealer for a couple days, when I was home.....hehe
So we wanna see if they'll give me the factory bodykit (front lip, side skirts, and rear valence) for cost, and free installation. My front bumper could definitely use a repaint or at least some touching up...hehe

For those asking, yes its very hard to see out the back, but that is what side mirrors are for. Infact I use those more anyways that I do looking out the back. Even without the graphics, it was hard to see because of my Orciari wing.
Those tail-lights are brand new, and I wasn't very fond of the morette ones, or blacked out ones.

Tinted windows.

BTW: STRONGBAD ROCKS!!!!!!
Your car needs a cabon fiber hood, front mount, STI foglight covers, Racoon the morettes(no paint on the inside section only on the outside), Cabon fiber trunk lid w/o a spoiler or a STI carbon fiber spoiler.
That is what I would do but alot of people have different tastes.

You need to paint your sideskirts, and get a front lip... Then maybe put the OEM fender markers back on because the clear ones look crappy. Other than that, nice car!

Get ride of that gay grafics on the side, I'm pretty sure everyone still knows it's a subaru. I would take off the front banner, and since the rear is a club then I'd shrink it down or make a way smaller logo. There is no need for that at all.
Carbon fiber hood, debadge the rear, paint sideskirts, get a front and rear lip. Then your car will look good.

shrinking down the rear sticker would be a good mod :p
and that STi bumper cover thing is a good idea, since you have a white car, must look bad when it gets all dirty over there...like you didn't wipe after going...;)

and wheels that stand out more. Maybe the pictures are just too dark but with the dark wheels and of course black tires the car looks to be floating in air. You need wheels that stand out. Like this

thanks for the constructive criticism....i guess... :(
I do like my graphics, if I didn't I wouldn't have gotten them. The car is on its way to be an autoX / club racing only car, so I figured it would draw more attention as well for sponsors, etc. Also, I think that the morettes will look better once i paint my horns black again, and put the STi-Style genome grill, which is getting painted right now...:)
I was looking for some additions. Not for people to tell what is wrong with the car now. Thanks for the suggestions, but instead of saying that my car has "gay grafics" you could mention something that would compliment the car.
I take pride in my car, just like I'm sure the rest of you do. I really appreciate all you who are helping me with some choices. I may try photoshopping a CF hood, and blinkers on some pictures that I have. I have another autox this sunday, or i'd put the white wheels on for you guys to see some of those pictures...

cosmetically the car is pretty much fine, the oem body kit would be nice..and if the car is a auto-x car for the most part i guess the graphics are not too objectionable :)
you didn't list your go-fast mods, so i can't really say what your would need there...so all in all...good job..not very ricey but not subtle either

If you still want functioning sidemarkers I think you should get a can of nightshades and tint the orange oem ones and put em back on. Would look better on the white car and match the graphics you have on the side. Not really a fan of the morrettes, nbever have been but that's your style. I'd paint the supertones, they stand out too much in white. Some mesh foglight covers would look tight, hmm sti hoodscoop. How's the sti grille gonna work with the morettes? Yea and debadge the trunk cuz i think they can tell it's a subaru from the graphics and it looks a lot cleaner that way. I'm not too keen on the cf sceme for this car, might break it up too much too cluttered with the drastic color changes and all the graphics and such. Looks good though, congrats. Oh and possibly shave the antenna and put one of those roof mounted vw style rubber ones on.

The grille is a STi-style genome grill, so it just replaces the center piece. I'm probably going to debadge the subaru soon, when I get a chance. How do I shave the antenna? Body shop?
Thanks :D :alien:
Oh and possibly shave the antenna and put one of those roof mounted vw style rubber ones on.
you need a rally light pod with some sick arse HID's, some mudflaps, and some rally wheels and tires. Oh yeah and some dirt on the paint. Subaru designed these things for rally didn't they???

True, but I don't rally. I'm getting into SCCA club racing for next year probably, so I'm an all-tarmac man...

rallying seems a bit expensive for most people i would think (didn't lagemann blow a lot (if not all) of his inheritance rallying before he got signed?) once i get some more extra money, i think i'm an all tarmac kinda person too :)

I have been rallying my WRX for two years and really the only expense is prepping my car and struts. I tend to bend the front ones every rally. Also by the way my car is a daily driver.
Peace out Marvin

recce02: impressive! =D
just out of curiosity, how much does prepping and struts run you? or a rough average of per race cost...if it's not a whole lot, maybe when i get better i'll try it out too :)
