sourcing the elusive euro spoiler

I've done a few searchs and came up with very few answers. Can anyone point me in the right direction for purchasing the spoiler in the pictures below.

looks like the older sedan wing......nothing big, I don't know where you would find one though......sorry

I posted about this wing a while ago. I was going to get it. Then I decided to say to hell with it and went with a 22b from Mastro. There is a place in the US that sells them. I can't recall their name or price. I have the Subaru PN# at home on my PC. I will post it when I get home in the AM.
industrial 12-18-2001 10:46 PM

Ahhh sweet, can't wait to hear the price tag. If you don't mind me asking, what dissuaded you from buying this thing?

Regards,
Bernard

It looks similar but the manner in which this spoiler slopes and bends around does not look exactly like the spoiler that came originally on my GC8 sedan as that had straighter lines... though the picture might not be a good representation of the actual product.
Rattler 12-19-2001 02:02 AM

I am not one for really loud, bold things. I got to the point with my Rex with the bright blue that I might as well say to heck with it and go for the big old 22b wing. Besides, I have been watching too many rallies lately. I also ordered a set of gold Tarmacs from Rev Mo to stay with the rally theme. I do like the Euro wing. If I start to get hassled by the local police I will probably end up switching over to it. I wish I could remember the @price they told me.
WRXnFX 12-19-2001 02:12 AM

There was a guy selling those wings on EBAY
Rattler 12-19-2001 06:59 AM

OK, here is the Subaru PN# I was given: E7210SE000 Euro/German Wing

I still don't have any idea who it was that can get it. Someone else had posted it on the thread I had put up about it.

WRXnfx,
I believe those wings were for the pre-2002 bodystyle. I saw a few of those on there a while back and they looked quite similar. I think he had one advertised wrong once too. I thought about getting one if it was cheap enough and seeing how well it fit/looked.
industrial 12-19-2001 01:40 PM

Thanks for the P#. Now to make 1 million phone calls. :D

Bernard

Hey industrial, I was just reading a post a few minutes ago with a link to Asylum Motorsports and I think they got your wing. Check it out to see if it's the one.

http://www.asylumms.com/Sub%20imp%20wing.htm

But someone in the post said they have a bad rep and rude. I can't confirm that and am not placing judgement on them, just relaying information.
industrial 12-19-2001 11:58 PM

Thanks for the info G-rex. I'll have to give them a call tommorow although I'm pretty sure the GC spoiler won't fit the new model. They might be the same thing but I need to see them both in person to be sure.

otoh, it seems like vividracing is able to get the spoiler. I'll post back when I find a good source and information.

Regards,
Bernard
bedabi 12-22-2001 01:51 AM

Yes, please post if you find how to source that wing. I've been waiting for someone to do that.

I await with bated breath...

industrial...

Did you ever source that wing? I'd like one too.

Thanks. PM'd you too.
industrial 12-25-2001 03:57 PM

Still in the process of getting information. It's understandably hard to get a hold of people this time of year. I should have some info near the end of this week or begining of next. I'll post any info to this thread when I have it.

Regards,
Bernard
industrial 12-26-2001 09:52 PM

Ok got some new info. The price is $220+shipping and customs from England. I will have a more precise shipping cost tommorrow. I have a good source and I'll post it here once all my infomation is complete. Shipping at most should be no more than $120.

Regards,
Bernard
industrial 12-27-2001 05:43 PM

Alright finally a solid source. If you want this wing contact Dan at Vividracing.

Phone Number: 480-966-3040
E-Mail: [email protected]

The cost will be $220+$100 shipping from England to your front door. They will take about 2 weeks to make the trip. He also mentioned a discount would be possible if we could get 5-10 people who are interested in this. If you guys want to do a group buy show your interest.

Regards,
Bernard
bedabi 12-27-2001 05:51 PM

Thanks Bernard!

Not a good time for me to buy anything right now. But in good time, I will.

A few questions nonetheless. Does the wing fit into the stock holes in our trunk for OEM spoilers? Does it come painted?
blaznasn 02-22-2002 09:17 PM

anyone notice there are ghosts in that picture above?
dRu888 02-23-2002 03:10 AM

Has anyone had luck sourcing this spoiler?

Thanks!
YoungWilliams 06-08-2002 03:06 AM

I think there are a couple of guys looking into it. Search this forum for a thread started by me called "Question about this wing."

OK, so I'm not that lazy, here's the link:

The wing is Subaru OEM, Part number E7210SE000. I sourced it through Eddy at www.cc-b.com, it ran ~250 unpainted plus shipping.

I'm assuming here that it won't fit the stock holes, correct?
