No need to be a hater, some of us want to see it. I've got a couple questions. How did you wire it and how hard was it? How hard was the mesh to install? I'd like to do the same thing but I want to find a way to hide the bar itself and just get the glow. I was thinking of using half a piece of pipe mounted under the scoop and mount the bar on it. Essentially just lowering it's mounting location. Have you ever thought of doing anything like this?

you must have the hoodscoop blocking plate on still. green nice. plus who cares what others think its your car eh. i was thinking the same except yellow for my yellow hood scoop. and rear sway bar.

heh backing plate is OFF. its very easy to wire up to the parking lights. took 2 minutes and there is NO spliceing of wires. this weekend ill tkae it apart and re do it and tkae pics step by step so other can see how easy it was

Yeah, you could probably get away with that...it's definetly not going to pass as a flashing red =).
If you hit a little button, can you go 300 and have huge fender flairs with rocket boosters pop out? Just had to ask :D

here in CA i got stopped for my exterior neon lights (underbody kit, neons behind the wheels, in the vents and scoop, and behind the grill) the cop told me to take them off. i explained to him that i didnt fully understand the DMV code which stated some crap about lights being recessed into the body. my friend interupted saying that they even sell this stuff at pepboys and the cop said "they sell all kinds of **** thats not legal" then that was it. no ticket. but now i took them off, i broke one of my large exterior bulbs and am waiting to get some money to replace it...after that all my exterior lights are going to come into the interior. i'll probably add some strobes under the seats and above where your legs rest and probably in the air vents.
call it rice, call it whatever i dont care. i like neon lights.
and once streetglow comes out wiht their LED license plate holder im going to buy that.

Neon
I've got Neon in my Hoody and Front grill, I want to add some in the hood vents and maybe in the ducts under the front bumper lenses...I'm not happy with the look...it looks like a stripe going up the middle...so I'm adding more light
so far
15' blue in the hoody
20' blue in the grill (behind the top lip of the front bumper)
10' bue behind license plate
what I want to do...
20' blu in the hoody
2x 15' in the grill (side by side for a wider spread of light)
10' blue behind the license plate
those 6 inch mini neons in the hood vents,
maybe even just strobes in the brake ducts...dunno yet
yeah I know...Rice....oh well I like how it looks =P

Accurit, in the TriState region, has the Knight Rider lights on his white RS. i bought the same set of lights for my black RS but never installed it cuz it looks too gaudy to me.

Hum.. one thing I noticed if you can't see the picture try using netscape.. sometimes pictures don't show up with internet explorer and if you use netscape they show up...

arnt u restricting the air flow into your intercooler by blocking it with a big tacky neon light? why would u wanna sacrifice performance for that ugly thing?!?!

unless you know something I don't, 2.5RSs don't have intercoolers, no turbo either. I highly doubt a single neon tube would cause any problems for airflow into an intercooler if he has one.
IMHO, I don't really like the neon thing in the scoop. Like JC was saying, maybe if you moved it out of the way, so that all you see is the glow, it would look a little better.
I was thinking about mounting a strobe in my scoop. I already have one behind my painted I badge in the grill, and thought another one would look kinda cool in the scoop. I could easily wire up to the other one and into the switch.

I was thinking of doing the same thing except tap the hot wire into my rpm shift light so when I hit the right rpm the light would come on.....:)

i used to like neon then...
