2006 STI Roof Vane Spoiler part 2

It directs the airflow so the rear wing can generate more effective downforce, so it is effective at appropriate speed.

At street speeds, it would be more of a decorative item - if that's your thing go for it.

BUMP
i got a CF one the other day and held it up to my rear window, it seems that the contour of the mounting plane on each side of the vane would only fit EXACTLY flush at only one point.... dono, im trying to convince Kaldar to come over and help me  kinda hard to reach and see both sides
any one have a template for each side??? (like that includes the window or some several points of referance??)

also, i remember reading a while back somewhere on here that sti's have some special extra brace in the roof that if you put one of these vanes on a wrx the roof will bend from the forces created by it if you don't have that extra rigidity....any truth to this??? i feel like it might have been bull....

Creates more lift blah blah blah....not like it makes a difference for daily driving. How come the WRC car has it? The spoiler is mounted further back to so if the vane is designed to direct air over the stock spoiler for more downforce, then why would they leave it on for a wing that's further back on something where performance DOES matter. I just think it's sexy as hell on a wingless and so I bought one.

Now i'm bumping this old thread because I NEED A TEMPLATE!!! anyone have one? :)
