Color to paint my car?
I can't decide what color to paint my car. It will be done soon (waiting to get my TechII). I can't decide if I want to paint it so you can tell it is a girl's car or not.
Any suggestions?

Go with the Silver like on Pinoy's Car. That is one sharp color!

i have been thinking the same question my self. the end of this month i will be adding a v5 wing, front lip, rear spats, 22b hood vents, fog light covers, possible morrett(spelling)headlight conversion, also side skirts and front bumper needed to get done because of some stupid people that hit me. and figures it would be better to just paint the entire car so it was all the same color. we all know how hard it is to color match

Is that the color Pinoy's car is called?

If you have the money, get the 22B kit before painting it, then either go with the 22B color, or a nice canary or nicer yellow. You'll sure get attention with that color. Remember everyone Yellow=Performance.
| suby ej25 | 12-09-2000 11:32 AM |
i'm agreeing with garface....go with an orangy type of yellow...if not go with the carbon gray metallic...i think that's what it's called...but it's an altezza color(aka is300)

What does it mean to have the door handles shaved ? HOw the heck do you open the doors ?!
| spt_impreza | 12-09-2000 06:20 PM |
it means that there are no door handles!!! u use an electric solinoid to open the door...kinda like keyless entry. it basically pops the door latch using the electric motor!!

Have you decided yet?
I still say purple with white accents would project a more girl-ish image and allow you the be unique. Outside of the factory colors from what I've seen yellow is one a common repaint scheme. If you can flip thru the new Jan '01 Sport Compact Car issue around page 110 there is a purple car (Si)in an advertisement. You may just like the way it looks for your Subie with a white Subaru banner across the windshield. Just picture it.
If I wanted to repaint mine RS. I think orange with black rims would look awesome. Like the Mustang Orange I've seen, I believe it's a factory color for the pony car. It i really had the money to blow and some very good contacts that can smooze Ford well. I'd do the Mustang Mystic Cobra color, but I've heard it's like really hard to get. If your wreck your Cobra they only give enough paint to fix what's needed.

With that size wheel, no door handles, and no big fogs, that car could almost pass for a civic.....

Yeah see I LOVE that color like North Ursalia put in his image. That's sweet.
Audi has that color in Europe for the S4.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm DAMN! [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif[/img]
I'd consider repainting mine in a year or two, but I'd likely just do white again, only a much nicer paint.

All these colors look really good but doesnt completly changing the coler or a car REDUCE is resale value? Maybe im way off base here but i think it because of all the little places were there is still the factory color, (unless you strip every body panel which would be extremely time consuming and very costly) Forinstance, under the hood, inside the truck, all the door jams, etc.

Chevy S-10 Metallic army green.......they had it a few years ago. Please don't flame me for suggesting a (ahem) chevy color.
It wasn't a forrest green, it was very close to army green with fine metal flake in it. Very sharp looking and would not attract a lot of attention.
Now if interested in getting the attention Pearl Yellow, with STi blue accents.

I would paint it Bright Purple with huge Metallic paint chips in the paint. Then I would get 13 inch Gold Wire rims that stick out about 3 feet from the fenders. Then I would get a Chainlink Steering wheel and Fuzzy Dice (For the mirror).
And if you have any money left over I would Make sure to get the little fuzy balls that dangle over the doors. [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif[/img]
Eric
P.S. If you are going to do that, don't forget to leave one of the fenders primed. I REPEAT... Do not paint one of the fenders!
Edit: Spelling
