Really though, I didnt even condone the STi badges on a WRX thread a while ago, why do you think it would be ok to put a ferrari badge on? You say because the car can beat a ferrari, Id like to see a WRX take a Ferrari in the long haul, and if we are putting badges on the car of other cars that we can beat why dont you just fill your trunk with civic, prelude, integra, crx, neon, ect...DIAF...

My boss owns a Ferrari and has the "Cavallino Rampante" on the back of his daily driver Benz. The difference here is that he actually owns a Ferrari.
Unless you own a Ferrari, don't do it.

you know what...if ppl think that you have a horse on WRX just cuz u like horse, then it's probably ok...but most of ppl would think that u are trying to make your WRX looks like a Ferrari...which would be stupid..

If you do it ill find your car and burn it to the ground.
I work on ferraris and lambos for a living and yes...while you can dump money into a subaru and make it handle and be as fast as one of the italian automakers it will still never be nothing like a 360 let alone a 430. Maybe and oldschool mondial or 308.
Anyway my point is, its just retarded. About 3 months ago I stopped at a light and a guy in a 2004 mr-2 spyder had FULL ferrari emblems. I mean the front and rear horsies, emblems on the front fenders and pinifarina lettering near the bottom of the doors, all molded in an everything. He as looking at me with his girlfriend while revving and all I did was laugh.
Sure you might be able to fool 60% of people on the road but whats the point? Save up 35k and buy a 328 and at least you can be magnum PI for next halloween.

His point was that even in the long haul (which I'm assuming ment higher speeds) you could beat those particular Ferraris, but while my car may be faster then a Ferrari, it will never, ever be a Ferrari.
| Type1 | 11-04-2006 06:46 PM |
That is my point, ive driven 700whp STi's with splitting driveshafts, 500hp evo's, 1000hp supras and all that wonderful glory.
Yes they are fast but if you ever get to drive even a simple 360 modena (and I say simple because there are many other models that are waaaay funner to drive) you will see what im talking about. Those italian automakers have magic flowing from their fingers!!!
But yeah please dont put a ferrari badge on your subaru. in the same note im not saying ferraris are the best cars ever cause they are not. Each car has its own feel. And if one of my customers wanted to put an STi badge on a 550 maranello I would blow up his motor before he got the chance..ha!

what the fukc is wrong with the op even considering putting a ferrari emblem on ANY OTHER CAR than a ferrari, its just fukcing stupid, its just as stupid as putting a GTR emblem on a civic or a subaru emblem on a moped. Man it just don't make sense, and i question the OP's state of mind for even asking this question, it should be common sense. But then again i guess lack of common sense is everywhere with all these ricers roaming around.

way back when a guy with an STi wanted my trunk + wing from my wrx and we did a straight trade.
First thing when I got from from the swap was debadge the STi emblem.
Unless I have an STi motor, trans, suspension, seats, guage cluster....basically everything it doesnt feel right to me. So badging a subaru as a ferrari is completely insane.
Its the same if someone with a 325 bmw bought an m3 bumper and put it on. You can put the m3 badge on but its still a 325.

word ^ even if you have a WRX, if you put a sti badge on it, your labeled as either an ******* or POSER, unless you have the STI parts identical to an actual sti. Whats the point? so everyone thinks you have an STI even though you don't? What happens when they look under your hood? The guy with the WRX looks like a complete ass. .... Ricer mentality

Well, if you really want to do a different badge why not put on a Yugo emblem. Yougo faster than a ferrari and people who don't know your car will think they got beat by a new Yugo or something. At least that would be funny...

debadging is better... but yeah, this wouldn't be out right rice.
Personally, I think you should take pride in whatever your car is, be it a RS, WRX or STi, and leave the badges on. But that's just me.

If you want to do it, do it. But don't look for approval from the NASIOC regulars, who tend to be (let's face it) somewhat uniform in their vision of what the ideal Subaru looks like, and tend to poop on any other vision.
I personally wouldn't put a Ferrari badge on any car. If fact, I'd probably debadge my Ferrari, if I ever got one. :)
But do what you like. You only live once, and if you listen to what the "popular" taste is, your car is gonna look like everyone else's. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is for you to decide...

Besides, Ferrari owners complain when people put Ferrari emblems on 308GT4s and 246 Dinos, and those were built by Ferrari!

personally i think its pretty dumb to want to put a ferrari emblem on a subaru, or any other car for that matter. but as for the whole sti badge on non sti subarus... i feel a little different. the way i see it is, if you have some part from STI then its fine to have a badge or decal. i mean although most people just call the sti an sti, its really just an impreza at its very core. its like calling an m3 just the m. bmw makes m3 m5 and m6 just like how subaru has impreza wrx sti, legacy sti, and even a forrester sti. anyway, i dont really know how to say what i mean, i hope at least someone gets it.

im amazed you think youre better then everyone cause your car has a number XXX/800 so you automatically have a right to shoot this thread down. im glad there is a post about this because it shows how big a bandwagon this forum is. i read here for the knowledge not for opinion. as far as badging goes STi is a company that happens to have their name on a subaru model. heaven forbid anyone puts an sti badge on their car when they have sti parts and this doesnt necessarily mean every part of the base model sti. as for a ferrari badge its a different manufacturer all together so i wouldnt cross that line. just do whatever makes you happy and dont lean with bandwagon opinion.

the term sti doesn't mean just the subaru wrx sti...it is the line of products referred to as "sti" so anyone can put sti stuff all over any car they want that has an sti manufactured parts...
but +12345 on debadging...badging is all show and no go, and you don't deserve to drive a subaru if you want to put anything else but a subaru emblem on it...be proud of what you drive.

In light of something just as stupid as this idea... I have to tell you guys about a car i spotted yesterday.
So i was coming out of the theater walking to my car when I see a black coupe, it had some nice rims on it! I was curious as to what kind of car it was and when I walked around front I saw a subaru I badge, I was baffled as I did not at all recognize the bodystyle, so I went around and checked the back and saw another subaru badge sitting in the middle of the trunk.
Now I was really confused, so I decide to peek inside the window and see a Hyundai symbol in the middle of the steering wheel and thats when I realized it was an accent.... Sigh.. I wanted to pry the badges off the car that very moment.

| Mechie3 | 01-30-2007 03:29 PM |
Here's an idea (which is a bit of a repeat).
You bought a Subaru, you own a Subaru, you obviously like it or wouldn't be on the forums.
Try this: Be proud that you own a subaru.
Not a huge fan of other car brands emblems on a different car. Kit cars are a different story as is the STI on a non sti car, but that's not for this thread.

What some don't know is "S F" stands for Scuderia ferrari.Scuderia means team in italian hence team ferrari,so the people that have the shield posted on anything are Scuderia fans mostly F1,so it would be like some of dale earnhardts fans posting the #3 on their car/truck
Well, I think its the aspect of the car able to beat a ferrari...
So would you put a pinto badge on your car just because you can beat it?
That doesn't make sense... people who put these badges on their cars are wannabes, they can't afford a ferrari so they plaster its logo all over their cars hoping/feeling/lying to themselves that their car is one.
It's almost like seeing a super skinny guy wearing a huge oversized Gold's Gym rip-off shirt and baggy sweatpants and trying to pass himself off as a musclehead....it's laughable at best.
