Amherst MA, about, I dunno, 10 hours from VA :)

That's a little farther than I was willing to go! The cost in gas, food, etc. would negate the savings. Well thanks anyway.

What the heck are you up to now?

BTW: I'll also vouch for Barry and the quality/shape of the parts for sale. The car is beautiful. He is also a good seller on this site, and a friend. No need to worry about purchasing from him.

I also find this thread O.K. in the motorsports forum, for obvious reasons.

Nice seats. Are the Evo's smaller than the Evo 2's?

I'm 6'4" & 180 lbs. w/ a 34" waist. Do you think it is a good fit?

Yes, they are the smallest ones. I am 5'9", 185 pounds, 33-34 waist and fit perfct.

Except for your heigh I would say you would fit perfect. I just cant speak about height since I am short :( but would not see it as a problem.

The only gripe I had about these seats in this car was that I sat too low (5'10") so IMHO they are prefect for a 6' less than Shaq guy.

Not stepping on your toes Biggly, just research....How much do the wheels weigh?
Redneck Ricer 10-14-2004 01:04 PM
Not stepping on your toes Biggly, just research....How much do the wheels weigh?
Had one on a digital gram scale before mountain and under 15 pounds :)

As a comparison, when test fitting them on a car, comparing them to 215/45/17 tires on 17 x 7 prodrive p1's, they felt about the same weight (17 x wheels with 245/45/17 tires - lot more rubber, less rim)

Barry
DrBiggly 10-14-2004 01:06 PM

Enkei claims on their website 15.66lbs. :)
Redneck Ricer 10-14-2004 01:21 PM
Enkei claims on their website 15.66lbs. :)
Yeah, I was suprised when we weighed them :D

My experience from building bikes for many years, NOTHING is ever claimed weight, it is always off on one side :)

and I DID only weigh one, not all eight I have....

Either way, they are light :)

One question, would you be coming out to pick everything up. I really do not want to sihp the cage as it is difficult to pack and expensive to send via truck freight.

Let me know. Pm me, and i am sure we can work something out.
Thanks
I am intrested in the harnesses. Can they be used without the sub belt and are the belts mounted to harness bar? Thanks Tucker
yes, they can be used without the sub belt easily

also, not sure of your other question. yes, they go around the harness bar part of the roll cage, no other way to hook them up. they are not like teh smaller autox belts that plug in, you have to attach them securly.

Butt Dyno 10-29-2004 03:14 PM

So do the seats come with everything you would need to put them in a WRX? In other words, if I bought the seats and put them in a different non-Subaru car, could I sell the brackets to someone with a WRX?

Thanks,
john
traction 10-29-2004 03:33 PM

still have the wheels? pm if you do.
tucker63 10-29-2004 05:39 PM

Thank you. Tucker
Redneck Ricer 10-29-2004 06:16 PM

the brackets they come with are the universal side mounted brackets, good for any car.
so you COULD sell them, but they would have no way of installing them in your car :)
Barry
Butt Dyno 10-29-2004 06:41 PM

Ahh.. so the brackets stay with the seats regardless, and it's the sliders that vary from car to car? Sorry, terminology confusion.
