Gold on White?

Hi! I'm thinking of getting wheels for my White WRX. Gold wheels or not? Can you please post your choice and please explain.

You got my vote.
I think it's classy, especially with a classic wheel ; STi, Prodrive, OZ or a Rota copy...I've got "copy" P-1's.
I gotta say though if I had a white Sooby, I would look into Revolution rally wheels in white.
Rallyperformance.com has them with a pic. They are mother strong, I had a set on my '87 16v Scirroco in the day and NYC never broke them...

gold on white is sexy, bronze looks really good too. black is a bit too dark on white for me. just my opinion though.

Yes, for some reason I'm not fond of a black wheel on a white car beause it looks like there's no contrast. :(

I didn't think that combo would look great until I went to a meet a few months back. One guy I was talking to had that color combo on his WRX and it really looked great.

Is "Anthracite" the same as Gun Metal? Or it's more on the steel grey color? Lighter than gun metal?

I have gold P1s on my 02 wagon. Love em. I was in the same boat as you before I bought them, but I am glad I made the decision.
If you are interested, when I get home I can post or email pictures. I think gold shows out much better on a white car then black or anthacite... adds a nice contract. But, of course, I am biased.

You should look into all colors... I know your set on gold though. I don't like the bling factor.

I have chamagne (light gold) on pearl white car and everyone says this is better than gold on white as the gold is too evident whereas the champagne is a nice complimentary color. I'd post a pic but I'm not too good at posting pics. The JPEG is too big.

I have Gold SDRs on my white wagon and love them. I was ambivalent for a while after several people approached me saying both positive and negative things about the combo.

Okay! After thinking of the wheel choices for my White WRX I finally picked Anthrocite Prodrive P7 Wheels. I would have loved the gold rims but I just thought that it would give off too much attention. I want a nice and subtle look.
What do you all think? =) I like it! :banana:

(btw ummmmm, why did you bother buying rims if your goal wasn't to give off alot more attention then if it was stock? especially such expensive/good quality ones :o )

Okay, here's the whole story... ehhehe Someone was selling this and it was too good to pass up. The wheels and tires are in very good condition. No scratches! I don't think the voting was wasted because other people with White WRX' can benefit from this information. =)

I still don't get the dark wheel fad. From a distance, it looks like you are missing your hubcaps or that your wheels are covered in brake dust.

(JC's white and gold RS inspired me to get white when I was buying an RS, since I already had gold wheels. Unfortunately, I had to settle with silver, which my goldies just clash with. Poor goldies :( )

I also have been looking into a dark bronze which I think would look sick...or antracite/british black. I have a white wagon but with the full tint and the black racks darker wheels would probably look better than gold.
