How Does this Bodykit look?

This is a pretty functional kit, front bumper. How does it look?
BTW, it's a modified picture.
Gimme some opinions. Don't say it's R|CE cuz it isn't.

Hahaha. Dude, that looks retarded. No offense. That front is HUGE!!! It looks like a cow-pusher thing from the front of a train.
Oh, and that's insanely Ricey!!!!! lol. Dual level spoiler, rediculous front air dam... that thing is almost as ricey as you can possibly make an Impreza.
You're going to have small children and farm animals lodged in your air dam, I'd get something smaller.

Think of it more similar to the ZERO SPORTS front bumper. It is Big like and similar as in big compared to the Electrica Impreza.
The bottom front lip kind'a comes out to make it more areodynamic. The side skirts are similar to the Supra GT's that are competing on the JGTC.
The kit's purpose is made for track use as in doing laps. I don't think it'll suit the street because it's sit's too low.
This kit is not out yet because it is a photoshopped pic. It was the best i can get the front bumper to look like that. Makeby if i can do another from a different angle, it'll look better.

That doesn't really even make sense to me. The purpose of a huge front air dam for aerodynamic purposes it to divert air around and over the car and to keep it from going under the car, which causes lift as well as drag. A cow catcher, child-scaring, helicopter docking station sized opening in the air dam completely defeats this purpose! The only race cars with big openings like that channel the air up and through the hood, and I know your extra parking space there doesn't. :D

you are exactly right... people here are hypocryts... before i was into subarus my friends and i always looked at them as rice just like hondas and acuras and all those ricey cars.... subarus are still rice rockets, and they always will be... they are japenese cars, people put loud farty exhaust on them, big wings, body kits.... im sorry people but that is rice, awd or not. now the question is, is this bad? no i plan to rice my rs out fully with exhaust, intake, hood w/scoop, greddy front lip... etc.... my car will be rice... just like all of your cars ARE rice. so shut up about this, "your japenese car with loud exhaust is rice, but mine is a SUBARU.. That looks NOTHING like the zerosports bumper. Look at the lower portion of it man, looks like a frikkin' dirt devil hand vac. Like a catfish. Like a fockin' ant eater.
You, 16yr old, don't know what RICE is. It has NOTHING to do with where you car comes from. RICE can be on any car, even domestics.
Lots of stickers, universal exhausts with a 1" outlet and a 6" tip, wings stacked on top of each other, chopped springs, DIY tinted windows and paint, wiper nozzle lights, FAKE fuba antennas stuck onto the roof, etc. Did I say lots of stickers? Everything from Hyundais to Corvettes suffer from this fate of pimply faced 16yr old dreams.
Oh yeah, and huge largemouth bass bodykits that put darth vader to shame. What, is your intercooler about the size of 32" TV? What in god's name could you have in that car that you would need an opening that large, not to mention that UGLY, strapped onto a poor subaru?
Body kits are nice.
Wheels are great.
Performance is goood.
Overstated abominal vacuum cleaner body kits? NAAASTY. Along with all the other stick on crap.
Go ahead, put that crap on your car. The only chick that'll find you attractive in your car will be a chick with a hole just as big as that bumper!

I wonder how many people here have the pink STi emblem :)
Would anyone here dare call Veilside kits riced??? I bet you I can ram an elephant with the FMIC front air dams...
I'm sorry if you like your car stock.. But if you were SO stock proactive, then why in the world are you modding it? If you don't mod it, then this post isn't for you and your views are different than those the original poster was seeking. It just so happens that some people don't like to go 150 mph on a 45 mph zone and would like to obey speed limits. So speed mods are not in the priority list. (Some find this car plenty fast as it is) Some people find the WRX to be butt ugly and I for one was one of them until I owned one. (it's still one of the worst looking cars out in the market today) I certianly did not buy this car for looks... laff... Being very proud of my car, I'm still in the market to make my car unique. I don't wanna drive Joe's subby or Bob's subby, I wanan drive my subby.
For those of you that think it's mature / ok to mod up your car to 300 plus HP and drop clutch light to light, grow up... Just because you don't have stickers are a huge kit to boot, don't mean you're giving subaru a better name. You're the actual reason why cops pull over people with kits and mufflers... It's because you break the law and endager people's lives. The only reason for you to stay stealth is to avoid the hassel of a cop when you aren't breaking the laws.
You know what drives companies and everything else in this world we live in?? $$$$$.... If they riced out the subbies, (like they do in japan where this car came from) they'll have flocks of ricers buying this car thus generating lots of money for the company. In the long run, they'll make these cars more reliable, affordable, and probably perform better.
For every one person that bought to car to be a "Rice Rocket" and not just "Rice," they are helping the aftermarket industry and less the manufacturer... It's just as bad as Ricing a car out cosmetically.
Its like the other thing with Altezza lights. EVERYONE HATES THEM... but when you ask those individuals WHY they hate them, it's because everyone with a Civic has them... Man it sickens me to hear from a "ahem" (bunch of mature car owners) to give such a remark about products. The product is neither a hinder / pricey modification and serves a purpose. I personally wouldn't get it because it isn't my cup of tea, but to label it rice and hate something which you don't have a good reason to is as bad as rasism where you are being prejudece just because so and so has this external apperance. If you put the same mods on a car with or without Altezza lights, it'll be just as fast given the same driver drove it. (give or take the little engine differences that each car differs by but you know what i mean)
All in all, I love kits and you cant get enough of them. Great work on the idea FuJi K, but there is more to a kit than just external cosmetics. It would be wonderful if you got something made and do downforce tests on them to see if they serve a purpose. I'm a huge fan of veilside, and I'd bet you if they ever kitted this car, they'll rice it out beyond your imagination. Keep up the good work.
To be truly rice is to worry about what others think of your car and less what you want your car for. Living in a world of choices, it's a shame you can't be proud of the one you make but rather limit yourself due to what others think of your choices. For those individuals, they'll always be the tools of society and the product of the man!!! hehehe (if everyone called you stupid, would you defend it to your death bed? Or know your intelligence and ignore the ignorant rants about it?)
If you all were worried about your car being riced out, you all should of bought Fords, GMCs, Chveys, or so blessed it that you actually got $$ to buy Porsches, Ferraries, and Lambos.... I wonder who was the one to claim a Subaru was something ricers wouldn't be interested in... Can it be the 227 hp or the 217 lbs of torque, or the AWD, or maybe the 25K price tag which is WAY out of the common person's price range. I'm sure ricers hate fast cars that can go offroad they can buy with their lunch money.
Ka Man
P.S. Why not be supportive to everyone's ideas before you down them? I mean this guy asked for some comments on a picutre, not even a production product which has no actual performance values. He then had nothing but criticism from a bunch of prejudece Subaru owners. The remarks he got were based on facts that don't even exsist since this kit is imaginary. It's ok to critique his work, as long as you have constructive criticism.
I'm sorry for the long post, and I was not trying to flame. I'm just trying to lay down a reality check to let you all see how childish / foolish it looks to act just as bad as the very thing you hate. Hyprocite / fight fire with fire... Those things are just silly IMO..

I'll give you my honest opinion. I think the kit is a bit extreme for street use. No it is not rice, but with that wing, its pushing it. Overall its fairly tastefully done. It lacks the many holes and ridiculous number of vents that a typical ricer setup features. It almost looks like a meeting of Japanese and European style, which may contribute to a slightly confused design, but over it kinda pulls it off. I'd like to know a little more about this kit, as I maybe doing a 2.5 build up.
PM me with info

except the sideskirts...
the thing i see wrong w/ the bumper is is that it wasn't ps'd in at the same angle as the car, it's angled more, and looks like the right side is shorter than the left side...
but the electra bumper still looks better

The way my friends and I look at it is rice is a state of mind. You can rice out any car. We usually associate rice with tastless, classless mods. That kit is my opinion is completely classless, and is far too over the top, it looks like it would barely be functional, and frankly I think it would be laughed at if ever seen on the street.
But just because a car is Japanese, doesn't make it rice. There are a few nice Honda's and Acura's out there that have been done up very nicely, and look very classy. It is just a majority of \H/'s are done poorly...
Just my two cents...

I agree with that almost completely! I've seen Bimmers and Audis that are pretty well riced-out with big crazy body kits, huge spoilers, etc. Most people that can afford to buy a BMW though end up doing their car very nicely and very tastefully (they can afford to), that's why we see a lot more Neons (not japanese) and Hondas with cut stock springs and unpainted body kits, both of which are very ricey things to do. Basically, rice is something that is added to a car. For the most part...
However, I think some cars are intrinsically more ricey than others. Let's just compare Honda to Subaru, since it kinda makes sense on this board: Honda makes cars. They also make lawn mowers and weed wackers and motorcycles and scooters. Maybe that explains why a Civic with a high flow exhaust system sounds like a weed wacker on crack. Subaru's parent company, Fuji Heavy Industries, makes air planes, helicopters, and some of the coolest heavy machinery on the planet. There are planes powered by the 2.0 liter boxer four that's in our Subarus. Maybe that's why, with a high flow exhaust system, our Subarus have a low-pitched, menacing growl. And we can't forget the AWD and years of rally-racing heritage!!! You just can't beat heavy machinery, helicopters, AWD, and rally-racing with the Rice Stick... that's blasphemy!

IF YOU GUYS THINK THAT QUALIFIES AS RICE
Tell Subaru thier S201 is RICE
This kit doesn't look good on the Scubi. The sharp creases in the kit totally contrast with the smooth flowing lines on the car.

I kind of like it - it is more aggressive - I probably wouldn't buy it (IMO) but if it came into my hands, I would probably use it (if I had a FMIC).

Hmm, you must've never been here, or you'd know that Anchorage is just as modern as anywhere else. We have our prostitutes, ferraris, porsches and HOT chicks like any other place.
The bonus is, an hour in any direction out of the city it's beautiful and quiet. :D
Looks as good as they drive? You must be blind as well. Perhaps you should go to another school and learn what taste is, take some culinary classes. (No offense to MSU.) ;)

Hehe, no doubt. To each their own. I still get flak for buying my WRX and trading in my Jetta for it. They'll never understand! :D

It will look better if the kit is made a bit smaller; design is nice, but too much I think.
It's kinda like a old school Impreza getting really old - and grew a beard (and it's white).
Still, if the whole kit is $100, I will take two!

Amen... to that! I live in the bay area now and still see cars just like that in fact several yesterday. The last time I saw any vehicle with a front that big it had big brushes underneath and swept the street in front of my house.
Honestly... IMO, stay away with that. A couple of months from now, you'll be driving around town with half of that lip held on with duct tape after you curbed it (which by the clearance wouldn't be that hard).
