A while back I seen someposts of Imprezas with neat paint jobs one was like half black and half white. I searched like crazy but didn't come up with anything. Anyone know or have thpicsplease post em.

i guess only an artist can appreciate those cars...the depth in the paint work is simply amazing...look at the tiger color on those wheels...so much time has gone into those imps...and ya the green is ugly as sin, but if it was like a black of deep green you guys would like it a lot better i bet

Just a guess, but with all the work that went into those paintjobs, I really doubt they are driven more than on and off the trailer. I think its great and I would love to have RS looking just as clean as as creative as the tiger car. If you can't see why the owner dressed his car up like that then I guess you haven't been to any of the lowrider shows. There are more cars there that you just want to sit and watch than drive. I love the green and I wouldn't change a thing about any one of those beautiful works of art. Give me a break, you guys only wish that your RS looked as fine as those do. it's a waste though don't you think? you're going to make a car so nice that all you'd really want to do is look at it? In my opinion a 2.5 RS would work much better on the street or track then on a trailer.

The "tuner" who put together those cars seems to be a big fan of the Impreza and chose to showcase a different image of our beloved GC8 in an extreme way. I love it and want to thank him for choosing such a wonderful platform to show his talents.

Oh..and by the way..these cars are show cars, but they are also worked. The Frog is a modded WRX (front IC, etc) while the tiger is a 2 door Sti, and it used to be yellow. I think it's a Ver 4.

Sunrise: I love the way you think. What a way to get people to look at a car they might not otherwise even see on the road. And the airbrushing is spectacular. It might not be what you want, but none of us wants to drive around in something that looks old and crappy, so give 'em a break. I saw Comptech NSX with orange/purple/yellow beetle paint and you couldn't take your eyes off it!! This car was in a rare and expensive car showroom in Ft. Lauderdale, playground of the rich....

Sorry I haven't posted, but I have been waiting for the rain to stop so I can post new pics of the G ride. Had some work done. Can we say "C-west". [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif[/img] Been on about 2 weeks since the completion but the weather won't let me take pics that will do it justice. I also had the interior painted the infamous 86F to match the exterior. All the dash pieces including the pocket cover, ctr console, including the shifter/e-brake pieces,the whole guage cluster, and the door pieces. All I can say is daaaaayyyyymmmmnnnn. Looks tite as hell. Way better than if I would've mickey moused myself. Oh and the C-west stuff, watch out!!!! heheheheh. I will post pics as soon as weather permits. Here is my updated mods list:

I met an RS owner last night, his name was Kevin. it was the first time I saw a white RS up close. It was beautiful, I am so jealous. If I can ever get the bucks together I'm going to paint my car white, with a pearl clear coat.

Very cool. My CRX is the Honda version of that color. NH-92 Gothic Grey metallic. It's very inexpensive paint.
When the guy mixed it up for me, I was shocked at how much blue, lavender, and purple he added.

The paint code is 86F. Made by subaru. You can get it mixed at any automotive paint place. Thats what I did. Matter of fact you can call PPG and give them that code or any code for that matter and they will tell you exactly how much of each color is needed to create any color you want.

Weird but true, but only a few custom paint jobs on a subie look good. I don't think subies are meant to have custom jobs. Hmm. Oh well..
