Lambo in front & Suicide Doors in rear part 1

djjaxwrx 08-28-2003 09:07 PM

Lambo in front & Suicide Doors in rear
hey tell me what you think about that idea for a 03 WRX. I think that it would be kick to have those doors.

Drop me a line about what you think

DJ Jaxwrx
STiWanabe 08-28-2003 09:17 PM

I have yet to see that on any 4dr car yet and Im still waiting. DO IT:D
SDscooby 08-28-2003 10:07 PM

I hope your joking, that would be retarded
billzebub 08-28-2003 10:30 PM

I don't like the Lambo doors idea, but suicide doors as rear doors on sedans is cool.
MAD REX 08-29-2003 12:15 AM

Suicide doors would be cool

lambo doors are st00pid
codemunky 08-29-2003 01:32 AM

I would laugh like I did to the Honda Civic w/ fast furious type graphics and primered body kit. You building up a show car?
ha-evolution 08-29-2003 01:47 AM

Go for it. It's all the rage in show car these days. Even cooler would be to cut out the piller between the front and rear doors and have one big scissored door on each side.

 Good luck with that. You
d need tons of bracing along the roof and floor, if yur gonna go and cut out the B=pillar, but I will admit it would be hott.
What's up with the predominately Anti-show mentaility around here. Im starting to notice it and i dont like it:furious: The idea is very cool, and like I said, Ive never seen scissor/suicide on a 4door yet, so though it might exist, its still unique. He's not askin whether he should put the NOS or NX sticker on his car even though he doesnt have N20, neither is he inquiring about altezzas, or an APC windshield banner. The doors are a legitimate and very trick modification. That's my $.02:D
MK19 08-29-2003 07:37 AM

I plan to have the rear doors of my wagon converted to the suicide style. Wish I had it done already so you guys/girls could see.
128d 08-29-2003 10:22 AM

I was thibnking Suicide rears too. Let us know how it turns out.
bunot 08-29-2003 10:40 AM

blech!! you haven't seen lambeau doors on a 4 door because it wouldn't look that good at all. imho, it only looks good on coupes.

i'd rather see suicide rears and trunk.

jason
samowrx 08-29-2003 11:21 AM

front and rear lambo doors and then you need to get the hood to flip open forwards.:D
billzebub 08-29-2003 11:27 AM

How about one big gull wing on either side?
plunk10 08-29-2003 02:50 PM

how 'bout 4 gull wing doors

and a hood that opens at the windshield and pivots from the front grille.
ha-evolution 08-29-2003 03:02 PM

And a trunk that pivots from the bumper.
technix 08-29-2003 03:59 PM

and then have the roof tuck in under the trunk to turn your car in to a convertible.
128d 08-29-2003 05:25 PM

Good call Jason, I ment Suicide rear doors. Lambo style only works on cupes as does gullwing.
samowrx 08-29-2003 05:33 PM

weld the front and rear doors together and then do the gull wing. one huge door:D
ha-evolution 08-29-2003 06:54 PM

There are some sweet ideas being kicked around.

How about having the whole body (-chassis) pivot forward at the front bumper at the push of a button?
billzebub 08-29-2003 07:24 PM

Kinda like a Mack truck?
nate49509 08-29-2003 08:08 PM

I say weld them all and go dukes of hazzard style.

Lamborghini scissor-style front doors and suicide rear doors? Hmm... why stop there, go ahead and get the VW New Beetle headlight conversion and Mazda MPV taillight conversion, haha.

Personally, all that crap is not necessary, and it doesn't enhance your car in any way, other than making it heavier. You may attract attention (i.e., around an elementary school or at a car show with other weird cars), but I think it would be cooler to put that money into making an 11-second WRX rather than a 14-second WRX with doors that open in several directions.

DON'T DO IT! Let Vin Diesel do retarded stuff like that.
JoeJohnson 08-30-2003 08:24 PM

PPower 08-30-2003 09:32 PM

Can you not do scissor/suicides for the rear? FOR A SHOW CAR, I could see doing that. Either that or suicides only on the front. If you did that, I bet you couldn't open the front and rears at the same time though. Better stick with how ya bought it. If you can't get the girl to walk out with you to the car, it doesn't matter how you open the door for her.
Hondaslayer 08-30-2003 11:48 PM

I think with the frameless windows the whole lambo doors would be a bitch and a half.
128d 08-31-2003 01:50 AM

Very well put.

lambo & suicide rear doors
thinks on the reply i was just getting opinions on it. I like it would be cool but its a long future process down the road. it well be like the last thing i do. I'm going to do a lot of work on it before putiing lambo door & suicide doors on it. I think a 11 sec wrx is better. Thanks again on the idea

And this was the winner at the DI GP car show for best Subaru.
XT6Wagon 09-03-2003 01:59 AM

dude is totaly a lamer. I mean if he was cool the rear doors would be suicide and lambo. That way it would look like some kind of ghey transformer stuck on its back with little spindly legs in the air.
G-force 09-03-2003 02:07 AM

omg dude...don't give him anymore ideas...

Is it me or does it look like hi lifted the car instead of lowering it?
Raslian 09-03-2003 02:11 AM

Damn that is hideous. I normally don't hate show cars, but gosh that thing looks like it's still riding on the stock suspension.

He asked for folks opinions and that's what he got. I'm sure someone who likes Altezzas or putting stickers (NOS, NX, APC) on their car could use your same argument against you. Personally, I think it looks hideous. .......but then again, I'm not into the Fast & Furious scene like some others may be. Just my $.02.

MikalsWRX 09-04-2003 03:41 AM

It doesnt look that bad. I would have done all 4 doors in lambo style. Anyne know what wheels those are? I like the deep dish look :-) laters Mikal
WRXcellerate 09-04-2003 04:37 AM

it doesnt look like the front doors would open without the back doors being open:confused:

I think part of that is that he has custom front fenders, notice how they are almost level with the hood, i think that has something to do with it looking raised

now that i look closer the doors are custom also

wow and from the same site, a maxima-skyline conversion:eek:

I don't think that's a conversion. It's a Nissan Skyline R34 GT-S ( as opposed to a GT-R), which is a rare sedan I guess. I could be wrong, but I have an issue of Automobile Magazine that has a good article about drifting, and that same car is a feature of the article.
wrxdriven 09-04-2003 09:28 PM

That wrx has a custom widebody jgtc kit on it. It also has a lot more under the hood. By the way the kit is not just fenders or flairs it is a entire body replacement of everything except the hood, roof, and trunk. I was at the drift and i talked to the owner and he is a pretty cool guy.

Also that is no maxima and before all you haters start typing away at your desk you might get some knowledge about the sport and quite thinking everything is rice. That is a very rare skyline sedan and it is a fully decked out drifter straight from Japan.
All i want to get staight is that just because something is different doesn't mean it is rice or stupid. To each his own and support them.

Thanks
mav1c 09-04-2003 09:36 PM

To me, all that body/show/bling crap is a big waste of time and money. It's SO much about ego and "look at me". Most of the time people are laughing and just saying, "Why?!"

I try to be open-minded and realize that it's just a form of self expression, but it's also in the public eye, and we're all entitled to our opinions. I just stated mine.

Car shows are not a sport, and I have yet to see anyone call that skyline rice yet.
DILLIGAF Racing 09-04-2003 10:32 PM

Did they ever make a RWD Maxima?
zombiedog 09-04-2003 10:41 PM

Customizing your car is an ego thing and maxing out performance isn't?

Don't fool yourself, each is mega ego, cars are ego, just different camps.

Only thing is cutomizing uses some level of creativity (usually misguided) but creativity none the less. As opposed to bolting poop on your car (which can be but rarely creative). Most of these people do thier own work and are proud of it.

I like and respect both, speed and bling are cool. All car lovers.
MikalsWRX 09-05-2003 12:44 AM

I was in the car show scene for 8 years and I definatley loved every minute of it. From being sponsored, To featured in a magazine. to meetng all kinds of people and being in he fast and Furious 2. Sure lots of peole talk ***** about that movie, but it was a learning experence that I will never forget. Plus I met and worked with some of the hottest women ever :-) And I did it all with a car meant for the women a Ford Probe. Yup thats right. Yeah it was all show and a little go. But it was an EGO booster and having girls wanting to pose buy it and people taking photos and people asking about it or stopping you in traffic to ask what kind of car that was is kool. www.jadecrew.com Ive sold it and now have a WRX. I did all the show stuff and now its time to go fast. Building a show car takes alot of creativity because you have to take something and make it unique without making it tacky. Hondas are the hardest because everyone has one. And like someone said it takes no creativity tobolt onparts and go fast. But damn that sure is fun :-) But evryone has an opinion and thats kool and thats what makes us all different. Imagine if we all drove the same car, Oh waite, we do hahaha. Anyways Thats just my 02. Laters Mikal

......."haters"?.............this reminds me of the "tolerance" deal that gets shoved down our throats by the special interest groups. Why is it that some folks can't handle it when others form a negative/opposing opinion against what they like or believe? They automatically get labeled as "intolerant" or "haters". No wonder folks nowadays feel like they're walking on eggshells. Don't get me wrong, I think everyone has a right to do or say what they want here in America (within the law).........that's why I love this country. I also think folks are entitled to their opinions especially when someone opens themselves up to public scrutiny or is looking for reactions (as in this particular case). Does it make us all "haters" if we think drifiting is dumb or that gull wings on a WRX look tacky? I don't make a habit of being rude and I try to be tactful/respectful in my responses..........but I let folks know my opinion when they ask.

....sorry for the OT detour samowrx.

It gets worse. That car should be put out of its misery. Anyways, look how that freak did the doors. Yeah! scoops do a whole lot on the back doors huh. Waste of money on such a great car, could have done so much more. Oh well if he likes getting laughed at. HAHAHA jackass.

The only part I kinda like is how wide the back is, and maybe if the front was done with the rally front fenders it would be better, but the back doors got to go and bring back the stock door hinges.

Not as interesting as this:

Look at the shifter and shift boot. Then look at that massive brake pedal. IT'S AN AUTOMATIC! And I wonder how many of those gauges actually work and register correct readings, not just bouncing needles for show purposes. Oh yeah, and that steering wheel? That's the biggest Batarang I've ever seen! Batman could take out the Joker, the Penguin, Catwoman, Two-Face, the Riddler, Bane, Poison Ivy, and Mr. Freeze with just one hit of that sucker. SUCH RICE!
