NASA-MA 3hr Enduro VIR Feb 23-25

Anyone heading down to VIR to do the HPDE, Sprint Races, or the 3hr Enduro? We'll be down there with our Maroon 94 Legacy Turbo running the 3hr Enduro. Come on by and say hi if you are down there!

It's possible we will be bringing the Boxer4Racing Sti up for some TT action if they are in fact running TT. It's listed on the registration page, but then I see no where to register. Worst case, I may come up and run the small event on the Patriot Course. I love VIR! Although I must admit, I'm quite afraid it will be stupid cold!

From what I read no TT at the Feb VIR event, there will be an auto-x at the Patriot Course though. Stop by our pit if you get a chance and say hello. Look for the Silver Armada with the Subaru Banner on our canopy.

Mike, have a spot on the floor for a fellow racer thrusday night? I'd gladly compensate you for the space. I'm comming down thrusday for the friday comp school but have no where to stay that night. I was going to rough it in the truck and try to get some electricity at the track and find a small heater.

Shouldn't be a problem, although we won't be down until around midnight or 1am, what we usually do is go, drop the trailer at the track, and then head to the hotel, so if you save us some paddock space we'll knock on your trailer and you are more than welcome to crash with us Thurs night.
I tried to book the condos/hotel on site, but was too late in securing my time off to book it.

We try to paddock up by the hot-pit entrance in the center so we can pop right onto pit lane, especially with instructing.
Brought the Legacy to the cage builder yesterday, they are welding in the cage as we speak and we'll have it back friday. :)

Good News update.... We got the car back with the cage done on Friday and got everything in it to get our logbook today. Almost ready to go, but still have to pack a ton of stuff and finish some minor stuff on the car.

Just brought the car back from boxer4racing today. We spent the weekend trying to work out the tire fitting issues, and finishing up the turbo upgrade (20g :D )
I haven't heard if they've had a PDE spot open or not, but I'll likely come up for Sat & Sun regardless.

Found a room at the Best Western. If anyone needs a place to crash, I got a two bed room.
As far as passengers, Impreziveblue has already called a seat during one session, but sure, i don't mind people riding along. This will be my first time on the full course (have only run the patriot & south courses), so there will be a learning curve.

I'll be running HPDE1 and the circuitcross this weekend in my Neon RT. Was going to bring the STI but I decided to flog the beater since I have a pretty nice set of "sacrificial" tires for it. Can't wait to finally get some time on the track!

We are at the Sleep Inn across from the airport. Having issues with the Legacy, sputtering under load, hopefully it's just a bad TPS that we disconnected after the last run out on track. Pulling 2:30 with the sputtering issue :(

Actually I think I was out at the store when you stopped by. The boys said you came by. Never figured it out and during the Fighter race, we blew a front wheel bearing. We were running 2nd out of 4 in the PTE class and closing in on the 1st spot. Too bad cause in the Enduro we would have cleaned up probably considering the amount of rain!
Hope you made out ok as well. We'll be getting the car back together over the next 2 months and get her back out there!

Man was it cold by the time the Enduro ended.
Paisan, you were doing so well there after all the struggles with the car all weekend. You would have had a shot to win I think although the GTI that won the Enduro was top notch. He took the Evo pretty easily.
I was at turn 3 Saturday and #10 Sunday.
There was a very bad accident in HPDE2 Sunday. A BMW lost it coming up the hill out of 11 and by 12 (not sure how, maybe hydroplaned) and went into the tire wall HARD right at the station. He went in backwards I think and flipped up on his side. That car is done and I hope he is ok.
Aside from talking to Ross (spaze) briefly on Sat. am I did not get to meet anyone. I think I saw Fred doing quite nicely on the Patriot yesterday. Definitely heard a VERY loud PSM GC over there. ;)

Neither Fred nor Pleiades showed up for Patriot fun yesterday. :confused:
Everyone had a blast... no issues... only a few off-course excursions and no damage to anything but our finish timer boxes. :devil:
We'll do it again on April 1st,

Oh I very much wanted to be there, but troubles with the car on Friday slowed that down. I *almost* stole the wife's GT wagon and brought it up there. :lol:
Everyone had a blast... no issues... only a few off-course excursions and no damage to anything but our finish timer boxes. :devil:

Oh I very much wanted to be there, but troubles with the car on Friday slowed that down. I *almost* stole the wife's GT wagon and brought it up there. :lol:

Had great times for my first track event. Met some cool people, although I don't think I got a chance to meet many of the Subie crowd. I was in the paddocks with two other STi in HPDE1. Had an off-track excursion during the first session of wet Sunday. But came out unscathed and got my first off-track experience out of the way. ;) Looking forward to my next track event... looks like it will be the THSSC @ VIR north in April.

Were you behind the Race STi, Evo and Legacy by the entrace to the pit-lane? There were 3 STis there all weekend.
