All i can say is WOW

Looks awesome. Post some daytime pics so we can see the inside of the housing better.....
| gtlegg | 03-20-2007 11:37 AM |
Wow that's sick looking is the cut off on the TL projector like the projectors on a TSX
| infinite012 | 03-20-2007 11:54 AM |
TLs have a fuzzier cutoff than the TSX. You can "correct" that by using a clearer lens, but it's not really worth it.
| CaptainRoin | 03-20-2007 12:02 PM |
Nice pictures.

How much for a set?
How much for a set?
depends on what parts you use......tl projectors are pricey, and BIG. infinity fx's are easier to work with and cheaper, and youll still have the bixenon function.
yea im gonna be doing my suspension and wheels next,i think itll compliment the headlamps better. im also thinking about putting some tsx's or fx's in my fogs.........fx=quad bixenon setup!!

the tl's have a fresnel lens, they have little "ripples" in the lense, thats why they do not have as clear of a cutoff as the clear lensed tsx's. im workin on the clear lenses though but theyre expensive for these and hard to find.
| scarsofterror | 03-20-2007 09:07 PM |
anyone got a spare set of oem fogs for sale?? im gonna start collecting everything for the quad projector setup hehehe.......
| skate enjoi | 03-20-2007 09:19 PM |
anyone want to explain to me the process on how to do this? is there a write up or anything?
| skate enjoi | 03-20-2007 09:20 PM |
seems a lot cheaper than buying jdm or edm lights if you can do it right

You can google HiD Projector Retrofit and youll find various HowTos for various cars, but its generally all the same.
If you feel you cant do it yourself, http://www,lightwerkz.net/

generally the same concept, however each job is custom tailored one way or another.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
| skate enjoi | 03-22-2007 02:59 PM |
i searched the DIY threads and was wondering how you get the projectors to be pointed directly forward? seems like you could have them pointing different directions if they were not PERFECT
| vision.dynamix | 03-22-2007 03:00 PM |
If you cant get that part right you really arent able to takle the project.
You use the stock bulb holder as reference. Your goal is to get the projector's bulb holder int he neighborhood the old one was.

it can be a few mm's off becuase you use the stock aiming screws to adjust them since they are mounted to the reflector bowl anyways.but those adjusting screws can only do so much, plus you dont want the adjustment maxxed out to get the projectors straight. i see you have a bugeye too,if you have any questions you can pm me.

can you pm me the total in parts you spent and which parts you bought... im thinking about doing this
| palmerx141 | 03-22-2007 08:55 PM |
Im surprised how good it looks actually haha. Id paint the silver bits black though if it were me.
| GTScoob | 03-22-2007 09:57 PM |
How's the light scatter? I've heard that HIDs are useless on headlights with a plastic lens like on the bugeye headlights, that the polymers in the plastic will cause the light to scatter instead of shine straight through.
| infinite012 | 03-23-2007 12:04 AM |
don't all headlights use plastic lenses now?
| scarsofterror | 03-23-2007 02:36 AM |
Yea pretty much all newer cars use plastic lenses, and the lightspread on mine are just fine.
| project x | 03-23-2007 06:50 AM |
they look real good . it's cool too that you can personize them by doing the ring / koji / turns different . i agree w/the fact that the lights look look like an actual eye . the pic of the city is amazing . i'd also be very interested how much $ & time this took . could you PM me some info sometime when your bored . very nice .
| SpeedDynamics | 03-23-2007 12:45 PM |
that looks great, good job
| infinite012 | 03-23-2007 01:23 PM |
i've done 3 retrofits (on my '01 civic) and they've all taken about $700 in parts (new headlights, projectors, bulbs, ballasts, wiring, paint, miscellaneous things like ccfl rings) and about 2 days of time, working 4-5 hours a day.
| scarsofterror | 03-24-2007 03:19 PM |
more pics with distance and width shots will be up sometime this weekend!!
| SQ3.0dotJP | 03-24-2007 04:53 PM |
