andrew, yes. The only cool color i saw that reacts to blacklight (and looked nice) was blue. I am going to be using 2 small blacklight neons, mounted either in the crack of the bumper, or on the bottom of the trunk.
Even with a car's lights from behind, i think the letters will still light up. Well, i hope anyway. R&D!!
neurotic, they have red vinyl too, but it's more like "dont run me over i'm only 12 yrs old"- red.

you know what else you could use...indiglo. and wire that up to the brake light.

i think some legacy's have this too.
indiglo would work, but you'd have to drill a hole in the trunk for every letter. yikes. the letters are seperate, so each letter would need a power source.
