Part # E2410FE200TG Front Underspoiler
E2410FE200TG FRONT UNDER SPOILER - silver - 4 door
Does anyone know where a picture of this part # can be found?
I was told by my local dealer this is part of a new body kit but they didn't have any pictures only description.
I'm wondering if it's this underspoiler, at least I'm hoping it is
any pics or help is greatly appreciated

Looks like the one on subaruparts.com. They list it as E2410FE201TG on the site, but the installation instructions here list it as E2410FE200##. The pic on the site is not at a very good angle, tho.

not the same underspoiler
thats not the same underspoiler. if you look at the pictures you'll see the difference. the underspoiler offered at subaruparts.com is the same ole underspoiler offered when the WRX first came out. the one I posted a pic of is the one that's on the blue WRX in the commercials they show on speedvision while watching the WRC.
it's becoming impossible to hunt this part down. I keep getting led back to the same ole spoiler

I thought the one in the commercial was the wagon kit they modified to fit the sedan for the commercial.
I dunno. Guess my "expert" status is in jeopardy... ;)

that *IS* the same spoiler.
In your picture that you've pulled from SoUK - it appears silver, because they've painted it.
The new number xxxx201(colour code here) supercedes the old 200 number.
In the US - the side pieces come silver, and the chin spoiler is black. That's just how it is.

wagon or sedan that is the question
I don't know if it belongs to the wagon or the sedan. I followed this link http://www.acekensington.co.uk/sales/subaru.htm and on this page there's a picture of the underspoiler and it says front underspoiler with the part # E2410FE000TG for the 4 door & for the 5 door with the part # E2410FE100TG, TG = paint code I know that much.
Now this site is a UK dealership & when I called the dealership near me and gave them the part# it didn't come up. what they did have was E2410FE200TG but I don't know what this part # is and that's the big question. If the spoiler I'm looking for is for the wagon then I just wanna make sure they don't have one for the sedan, there's so many different options for the WRX depending on what part of the world you live in.
If I have to buy the wagon spoiler than so be it. if Subaru can modify it to fit the sedan then I know it can be done. I just wanna make sure they don't have the same thing for the sedan first.

My apologies.. I interpreted the question wrong.
However, I do need you to clarify if it's the 100, 200 or 000 part number you're looking for. Based off the image you've shown, that's the wagon one.
As to why your local dealer couldn't pull up the number - is because that particular number you've pulled is a SoUK part number, and not a SoA part number.
The answer to your question is, no, it will NOT fit your sedan easily.
Why? Because I have a wagon, and i have the kit from the UK. Which is why I said that's the same under spoiler.
Having tried to test fit the set up on the sedan, I can tell you that it won't fit. The reason - is that 'fabled' wider track that the sedans have, and the wagons don't. The causes the holes, and therefore the parts, to not line up correctly. Not to mention also for the parts to not fit nice and tight.
But in essence, the fronts are the same for these two kits. In the wagon, it (meaning the chin spoiler) is a smidgen closer to the front, than the sedan ones are. That part in the middle does not come painted (when purchased from the UK), but has been painted to match for the picture. The rear bits, are where the wagon and sedan differ greatly.

I still want to know why that WR blue WRX in the commercial has the wagon front spoiler attached to it.. I think that looks soooo good. I would buy one in a second if they made one for the sedan that fit to perfection... SOA is making me angry by showing me that lip and then not releasing it for the sedan..

I agree with Dr. Zevil
so basically I'm ***** outta luck if I want that underspoiler for my sedan??
that totally sux
it makes me wanna call SOA and inquire why they would show something on the sedan that isn't available.
if they made it work for the commercial then it must be able to be done correct??
If SOA doesn't have this underspoiler for the sedan then maybe some company might be interested in fabricating one for the sedan. there seems to be a lot of interest for it from the sedan folks

Hmm what about painting the mid bottom of the sedan underspoiler to your WRX's body colorlike vsigma said? I dunno hehe.
| vsigma | 02-04-2002 09:28 PM |
well, here's the thing i don't understand..
I downloaded all the ads for the wrx, and then did a frame by frame analysis.
It looks like what SoA did was merely take the kit that they sell, paint the chin spoiler to match the colour of the car, and then (here's the ingenius part) have an all pro body place use poly filler/mold stuff to have the part blend into the bumper, so it doesn't look like it's put on. Then do a full repaint afterwards to make it all match.
That's the best analysis that I can come up with.

the alternative
ok if I can't get this dam underspoiler cause SOA pulled some crap and made it look like it's for the sedan and screwed us sedan owners then how about the sedan guys that are interested in getting this part for our cars see if we can maybe have a vendor fabricate one for the sedan using the one from the wagon as a model?
is that an impossible task?
the dollar amount will be astronomical I'm sure
I'm pissed, the only front underspoiler I really like and I can't get it for my car.
anyone wanna buy a WRX?

there are rumors of a "new" body kit coming to the states from subaru.. we might have to wait and see if this in the option for the sedan.. otherwise I don't know if you will ever see it.. :(

Dr. where did you here the rumor at (that is if you can supply that info with out having to kill me afterwards :p )?
when I called The dealership they said they had a new kit and everyones askin about it so I'm wondering if this is what your talking about.
front underspoiler part # e2410fe200tg $361.50 w/15% discount
rear lip part # e5610fe200tg over $500
these part #'s are from my dealer and he said they are NOT the originally offered parts you could option for when the WRX first came out (they fit both the sedan & wagon). Their new and are in the new 2002 options cataloge from SOA.
where's the pictures???

check canada
I saw this subject in a thread a couple weeks ago. I recall it being discussed that this kit was not for US market for some reason. You might try sourcing it from the UK or from Canada. Maybe vividracing. They have lots of body kits.

Did you get you under spoiler from Vivid? Also I assume that it came unpainted, or silver. Not sure what color your wagon is, but if not silver did you had them painted. Also do you have the rear under spoiler or the side mini spoiler/flare.
Thanks

Not to be nosey but did you get them from a dealer over there and about how much was shipping? I may look at going that route so I don't have to have them painted here, which could cost as much as the spoilers themselves. Also when you say deck spoiler are you refering to the waist spoiler?
Thanks

yup - that would be the waist spoiler..
You can contact a variety of dealers over there and they'd be more than willing to charge you retail+shipping.
i may be able to help you out in scoring a set, as I have regular piles of stuff coming over from the UK and Japan.

What does the front lip set run, is it about the same as getting from vivid? Along the same line if the proce is not to bad I may just get front, side and rear at the same time. Also do you have a line on where to get the extra side piece for the side skits, I think that it is called a Strake.
Thanks

if you only want a single set (i.e. front, or rear) the price that i could get it for is not that much better than the folks down in AZ. However, if you want both the front and rear, then i can be better.
The pieces you're looking for - if they're metal - then you want the ones available from SoJ... otherwise, SoUK sells a set for like about $250 painted from the factory and shipped retail.
Side skirts are best bought from SoA - as they sell them in the WRBlue for about $200.

what we need is a company who makes body kits fabricate one for the sedans.
it's still the coolest lip i"ve seen to date

I will wait, only time will tell...! If you happen to purchase this lip and try to fit it.. remember to pm me and let me know what happened. It will definitely effect my decision. It's the only kit that I want whatsoever...

SOA did it
Well Dr. SOA did exactly that they put a wagon lip on a sedan because the lip shown in the commercial only exsist for the wagon. If there is one for the sedan no one knows of it and SOA won't admit what they did.
the only good news is if they fit it to the seda then it can be done

oh yeah, I know that. SOA pretty much sucks a fatty. I first wrote them about my broken boost guage. The response I got back (seriously) was "Hi, thanks for your question regarding whether or not you can adjust the boost guage to correct the improper readings, but I don't know, so I'll ask somone else, expect a reply in 24 hours" That was 2 weeks ago and I heard nothing. Then I have been writing them about my fauly ABS (see warranty issue forum) and they repeated blow me off, and this is a life threatening issue! Now, do I REALLY expect them to write back about a spoiler with info that would take some effort and research on their part? NO, but I thought I'd waste my time! hehe. God I miss my Saturn service.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. First, please be assured that Subaru is not trying to deceive you or any other WRX owner. Second, I am not sure if you are referring to the underspoiler or the hood deflector for the '02 WRX Sedan. I will answer your message with what I know to be true.
Some of the features and accessories on the '02 WRX in the commercial are the features of the Subaru World Rally Car, which as everyone knows is what the WRX is based upon. These features were used for the commercial only.
We are not hiding any available accessories for the '02 WRX Sedan. This would not be feasible because why would we offer it if we were not going to sell any. The only underspoilers available for your '02 WRX Sedan can be purchased at any authorized Subaru dealer, which I assume you are aware of.
If you are referring to the hood deflector, we do not offer this accessory for either the WRX Wagon or Sedan, as it interferes with the proper operation of the hood scoop/intercooler.
I should have mentioned this earlier, but it has been a long time since I saw a WRX commercial, so the picture in my head of the commercial may not be perfect. But, I am aware of the information above. Again, please be assured that you are aware of the accessories offered by Subaru for the '02 WRX Sedan. Finally, your comments about the commercial will be forwarded to our Marketing Department for their review. If you have any further inquiries, please feel free to contact us again. Best wishes!!

YOUR ORIGINAL MAIL:
I have an issue/question regarding an accessory for my 2002 WRX
SEDAN. There is a commercial being run now that features a blue WRX sedan driving around. It shows a 'lip' front spoiler that is not standard on the car. With further research and discussion with fellow enthusiasts, it was brought to my attention that the front spoiler featured on this sedan in the commercial is actually the one available only for the WAGON. The front spoilers available from Subaru for the sedan and wagon are not interchangeable because there is a difference in width of the two cars.
Therefore, I would like to know if, in fact, this is the wagon spoiler
that was custom fit to the sedan for the comercial, or if this particular lip is 'secretly' available (I say secretly because NO ONE is able to get it). This spoiler is much cooler and better looking than the one available now for the sedan. I almost feel that it is misleading to customers if the car in the commercial had custom work to fit the better looking spoiler on the sedan, effectively showing a car that CAN'T be had by the consumer.
Please provide as much information on this subject as you can.

how can he not have seen the commercial??

the fact is the WAGON lip is on the SEDAN in the commercial and secondly I've never seen the WRC car with a lip like that if thats what he's saying.
do any of you know of a company that can make one for the sedan using the wagon lip as a model?? with all the interest in this lip it should be a popular product and the $$ would roll in from the sedan owners.

the fact is the WAGON lip is on the SEDAN in the commercial and secondly I've never seen the WRC car with a lip like that if thats what he's saying.
do any of you know of a company that can make one for the sedan using the wagon lip as a model?? with all the interest in this lip it should be a popular product and the $$ would roll in from the sedan owners.

I really want this, and the waist spoiler (in WR Blue.) I've got a similar thread http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=149930 going as well (in a wagon flavor!) If either of you can hook me up, please post in either thread, or email me. :) I'd greatly appreciate it.
TIA - Jim
PS - There's some other goodies I found here http://www.acekensington.co.uk/sales/subaru.htm that I want as well. SS entry guards, SS entry guard boot, rear cup holders, etc.
Thanks again. :D

hey guys if you want that front lip all you have to do is call your dealership. that front lip is for the wagon and can be purchased at any dealership from my understanding.
if you found these parts in the UK then just purchase them from there because it seems they get goodies we don't get over here in the U.S.

The part numbers for the blue parts are
E2410FE000PG Front Under Spoiler
E5610FE100PG Rear Under Spoiler
E2610FE000PG Mini Sides/Strake (Small Kick out that attaches to the side skirt in front of the rear wheel)
I have been talking with Performance Subaru in Northern Ireland, they sent me there price list and stuff is a little cheaper then at Acekensington, with the front and rear lip being about 235UK ($336 US) and the Strake being 125UK ($178 US). MacDaddy you exchange rate was a little of it is 1.4 US dollars to 1 UK pound.
Now for the evil part shipping and customs. When I talked to Performance they said the weight would be 20kg (40lb) for the front and rear. I called FedEx and checked on the shipping cost. Based on weight it would be $142. It the package excedes 60"x12"x12" or 48"x24"x24" it will need to go freight via TNT, the cost I am not sure of. As for customs I am still not sure of what that would entail, I am working on that now.
I am waiting to hear back form them to make sure that the part is availible in WR Blue. I will update when I hear back from them and maybe put together a group buy.
After reading http://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...threadid=149930 and going to the Canadian web site and seeing the spoiler there I called a dealer in Canada. Unfortunately the part is only availible in silver there to and it is $493 US, about the same as Vivid.
I am going to do a little more reaserch to see if there will be any customs cost or import taxes on the parts coming form the UK.
I also had that thought of getting the sedan under spoiler kit and making it fit by shortening the center piece, I look at one the other day and it could be done. The side pieces may need to be trimmed too and new holes drilled for mounting. But since the sedan front spoiler is $390, I rather spead a little extra and get the real thing.
On the other had I am getting impatient, I talked to Vivid an they will paint the front and rear for about $100 each. Shipping is about $150 for both and about $100 for one. They don't stock the part so it is coming from UK or Canada. This is the most expensive route but the least PIA.
Oh well off to look for customs and import tax info.

WHY????
Troy
I have to ask if you have a wagon then why in the world would you want to put a sedan frony lip on your car? IMO the wagon lip is way better looking then the lame piece us sedan guys get. If I could get that lip for my sedan I'd get it no matter the cost.
IT LOOKS SOOO BAD ON THE SEDAN IN THE COMMERCIAL
just my .02 worth

After a little checking it looks like the customs cost will be 2.5% of the goods. So if you got the front and rear here is the cost break down.
Front $336
Rear $336
Total Parts $672
Customs $16.80
Shipping $142
Grand Total $830.80
If there are not other hidden charges that I am all over it, the same things through Vivid, painted and shipped would be $1300.
I am going to call the customs office in Chicago on monday and make sure that this is all correct and that there is not going to be another charge on top of the 2.5%.
MacDaddy,
I used the same currency converter as you, make sure that the GBP is selected in the left box and USD on the right. Looks like you were using Euro's and the United Kingdom (England/N.Ireland) are still using pounds. Those damn stuborn English.
Jerry
I agree the wagon lip rocks, I was just looking at it for an idea, if the front lip for the sedan was about $150 I would try it just to if it would work and avoid all the PIA of getting stuff from over seas. But at $400 noway.
BTW When I get my front lip (I will get it) before I put it on I will head down to the local subaru dealer and see how close of a fit the wagon spoiler is on the sedan. I know that scew holes will be off but that is what a drill is for. As for the width and fit I am sure that there is a way to over come those problems to. Dremmel any one.

Is anyone gonna try and get a group buy going on the front lip?
If so I'd be interested in buying one at a little discount. I Know there's got to be a body shop around here somewhere that can fit this lip to my sedan and make it look good in the process. I'm not against doing what vsigma says SOA did to the commercial WRX
It looks like what SoA did was merely take the kit that they sell, paint the chin spoiler to match the colour of the car, and then (here's the ingenius part) have an all pro body place use poly filler/mold stuff to have the part blend into the bumper, so it doesn't look like it's put on. Then do a full repaint afterwards to make it all match.
worse comes to worse i can resell the lip if it doesn't work
I'm also going to start searching for a shop that can make this lip for a sedan

Seeing that you live in MI I would be some what careful with molding the parts to the car to make a seemless look as some thimes that stuff does not hold up well in colder weather. It tends to crack. I talked to my friend who has done alot of that for show cars (mostly vettes and low rider pickups) he advised against it for a dailt driver.
My guess is that with a little work you could get the side pieces to work, the trick would be extending the center piece to fit as I think that is where you are going to come up short. What is the front width difference between a sedan and wagon?
I will talk to the guys in Ireland on Monday and see what there interest is in doing a large order with a cost break.

I would not give up yet. I went buy the dealer today and looked at my wagon next to the sedan. I think that the width will not be an issue. The difference is minimal. Looking at the picture of the wagon under spoiler I notice that the center piece extends behind the two side pieces a good bit so sould take care of the width issue. Now you are only left with fitting on the sides.
If you could measure the distance from the fender right in front of the tire, arond to where the opening is on the front at the bottom I could compare it to mine to see what the difference is. This would give you an idea of if the side pieces will fit lenght wise. I know that the side fenders on the sedan flare out but at the bottom where this piece goes is minor. If the length is close you would just have to trim the piece to make it fit at the top. One thing that you would do to make a clean edge after trimming is use some of that black stripping, simminlart to what is on the painted side skirts. It is pretty thin so it will not detract from the look but it will help give you a nice clean edge.

Troy first off my apologies for calling you Toy in my last post.
are you saying from the beginning of the fender well in front of the tire all the way around to the opening for the radiator or the opening of the little vents for the brake cooling (if thats what those are)
Im pretty sure you mean the large opening where the license plate is located but just wanted to check with you first.
