Smoked Tail Light Mod

I took advantage today of the sunshine here in WA today and installed my smoked tail light covers.
The install was simple and took only 15 minutes to complete :)

I tinted my old rs tails before, it wasn't that dark though, looked really sweet on an all black car.

Is the middle picture with the reverse lights on?
That's dark! I hope you dont get hastled at night by the police.

No, didn't shoot any with the reverse lights... the car is a cop magnet anyways so we can just hope not.

I did mine with vhd nightshades tint. I masked off everything but the reverselights and the reflectors. I also did the tailight mod while I was at it. All you have to do is swap out the center light with the outermost light. It gives it a more balanced look IMHO. Takes like 10 min to do.

I've had mine done for a year and haven't had a problem with the cops. Even when I got pulled over for an illegal u-turn I didn't get hassled about the lights.

If you are worried about the dark tail tint but want some color, try tinting your fogs... just as much fun!! Mine are yellow!

I dont have that pre-cut, but I do have front side markers in smoked for $14.00. We just go those, but havent had anytime to take any pictures of them yet.

That looks sweet, but that is WAAAYYYY too dark for here in CA. Thats almost too dark to be safe. Is that just 1 layer of the "smoked" covering from rockblocker?
If it is, that just made my decision NOT to buy from them because I cant afford the tickets. Make it 1/2 as dark as that and youll probly have more customers.

why would you put tint on your headlights and make them dimmer? usually people want to make their headlights brighter but you want to make em dimmer...

Piker - The webpage states that in the headlights there is NO dimming effet. No "light loss".
Anyways... What I am really interested is in the tailights. There is no problem at all regarding the "law" in here, so I would have no problem at all.

It doesnt remove that is why you can use the vinyl so if you are hassled you can remove it.

You can remove it, i had to remove it once and reapply.
I used lackar thinner ( prolly not spelled right, but you get the point)
Just dont let it sit on it, lacker it, whip it, wash it off. worked for me.

I'd definately use the tint Sheet if it wasn't 50 bucks...
Tint spray is cheap, so is Dye... and I dont think anything looks as good as the Dye.
