Hey, this is an image I put together for a contest for west coast customs to win $500. I just wanted to see what you guys thought of the idea aesthetically cause I was thinkin that would be badass as a swap. I stole the image of the STI from here some time ago so if that is your image (I forget whose) and want me to have it removed I will. (Sorry about not asking permission first, I couldn't remember where I got it)

honestly, I kinda like it. And I'm not gonna flame your chop job....better than anything I can do, but it could use some touch up on teh hood/lip area.

OK not to sound rude or anything and I speak only on behalf of myself, but That is a discrace to The Subaru Impreza. I mean to do that with a civic thats ok becasue they try and do everything they can to make their cars look good. but when I look at that Its discraceful to everything the Impreza Stands for. :furious:

The image of the Mustang and the image of the WRX that you're using are of dramatically different qualities and focal properties. Thus, the Mustang's front looks as though it has been carelessly and thoughtlessly tossed on top of the image of the STi. The light blooming around the Ford's left lights only adds to the confusion.
The logo that you created in the corner is awkward at best. The blurring around the image is unnecessary and fails to create a sense of DOF, were that the goal. The choice of text [font and style] is rather "extreme" where it need not be.
Was this your first time using Photoshop?

why so much hate on the guy for creating the image?
i mean its ok to say that ford sucks or mustangs sucks or whatever, but he just created the image for a contest.
Perhaps the picture could have been done better, but no need to take personal attacks at the dude...i mean its a friggin make believe picture, and there are better ways to comment on areas that could use improvement in the image (with regards to quality/realism) than to just say it sucks or you suck.
Why cant people be nice for a change? Maybe constructive criticism? No one will want to post anything if people just always bash.

agreed, i like the newer mustangs a lot better than the box version of the previous body style, but it doenst seem to flow imho. still gets an a for idea

yea, photoshop the scoop on (or a mild 2.5rs scoop) to balance out the wing in the back :p

I give you props for the computer work. It isn't a multi-million dollar contract and I'm sure the quality of what you did is much better than many or all of the other entries.
I don't like it cause I have a personal vendetta with Ford; Pinto gastank, Explorer tires.......and I owned one, nothing but problems.

One look at the front/rear fender flares tells me all I need to know about this chop.

How embarising...to think that you would want to make a Subaru look like a Ford. Afterall, Ford is such a backwards thinking company. All they can do is make thier cars look like old ones from days gone past. Mustang=Mach 1...GT=GT40...and who knows what they are trying to achive with the Ford 500. The only way I want to see a Ford on my Subaru is in my rear view mirror :mad: :furious:

I'd say change the wheels first and make the side skirt more visible... coz the side really makes the picture ;)
I'd be better without the wing too... maybe something like the mines spoiler will fit better

It's better, but I still say you need to work on that front fender flare. Also, at the left-most side of the bumper, on the bottom, it's not blended in too well, the color change/quality change is just too obvious.
And the far side of the front bumper is very confusing.
Looks much better as a coupe, but stretch the doorline back a ways to make it look like it wasn't converted. You also might want to think about different wheels, as your starting to lose definition.

Don't spend time arguing with people that don't like your work. They don't like it, and no amount of explination will change that. Go along with advice/comments/critiques that make sense to you. Win or lose, see the compitition through until you are satisfied that you did the best you could. This stuff takes practice and time, keep working at it and you'll see better results. But don't let people on the 'net you'll never meet and have no bearing on your life decide for you. Best advice I can give as an artist.

I don't particularly like the looks of it but the idea behind it is interesting. It combines japanese muscle with american muscle. You Ford haters are making fools of yourselves. It's pretty stupid to hate on a company that has had the best selling pickup truck for what... 20 years straight now? Not to mention the Ford Focus which has been Car and Driver 10 best a couple of years. Not to mention the Mustang Cobra which is [I]almost[/I] equal to the STi on the track. You guys are hating just to hate.

swap some projectors... yum ;) ... and the front need something more... how bout this... eliminate those two "holes" on the side of the lip and widen the middle one to match the bumper's airdam... that way the lip should fit better?

Hey, I think it's pretty cool...as long as it's taken separately. I think the new Stang is nice. I'm a car guy and I started my car life as a Mustang guy. The new Stang convertible...Awesome weekend car. I would get the v6 cuz I'z gotz me a fast car already :D

I just think it's odd that the combination puts Ford parts on a car that's 20% GM....as an engineering student aspiring to body design I can't say I like the mix of styles, but hey, to each his own. Definite props on the photoshop skills, tho, better than I can do. I won't hate on anything but I also don't have much good to say about WCC, at least as far as their MTV slot runs, an episode of "pimping" a trans am ruined it for me. But I guess props to them for putting out a design contest to give aspiring auto-artists a go in the industry.
