Well, looks like I have a new favorite car on Nasioc. You're giving Imprezer and Whiterabbit from I-club a run for their money, that thing is unbelievable.

Nice car, i think you still need to work on your 5 point harness though. I thought they were supposed to be as close to a 90 degree angle as possible.
Congrats on the magazine cover,

Also, in the first pic the hood looks like it's not flush with the lines of the front passenger fender

Why gold? Because if it has anything to do with Top Secret (the tuning house from Japan) then most of their cars are gold.
But I'm wondering why it has Advan stickers when it has neither Advan wheels or Yokohama/Advan tires...

That's a trick they use to get better ventilation under the hood. Drifters use it alot. basically unbolt the hood, throw a few washers in and you've got a reverse hoodscoop.

Yeah, sweet car, man! imprezzed is right, you should get a harness bar back there so you don't compress your spine in an accident! It's not like the back seat is being used for anything anyway. :D
What type of events do you compete in?

Great car.
One thing. Your harness setup will probably kill you in a severe accident. Unless the harnesses go straight back from the seat... as close to 90 degrees as possible (Something like 15 degrees in either direction of leeway), it's less safe than the stock seat belts. If you were to get in a severe frontal collision with that setup, the force created by the harness would collapse the seat around you, essentially crushing you straight down.
If you install a fulcrum point straight back from the seat openings before the harnesses angle down to their mounts or you re-mount the end of the harnesses at the upper rear seat belt mounting points, you'll be fine.

Put some wider tires on that thing! At least 235... you should be able to fit them. Hell, roll the fenders and throw 245s in there.

Sweet car.
Just get that safety stuff taken care of. Not only do you want a harness bar, but you might want a full blown roll bar. If your roof caves in in your current setup you can't move laterally because of the harnesses. Check out the past threads in Motorsports..

i like how simple that car is-if that makes sense. i mean when it comes down to it, its only old paint, ver.2 lip with a diffuser, some nice wheels, built motor, and suspension parts. no gay ass body kit and a huge gay wing that does nothing. basically stuff you need and thats it. so thumbs up, great work.
| NimrodBoz | 06-17-2004 09:25 AM |
great car but seems incomplete with the harnesses and no roll cage. especially with the hood modified to have the heat reducing qualities of a track car in japan, not having a roll cage is odd.

Why not just leave the stock hood and paint the trunklid gold, to match? That would save money (honestly, CF hoods on WRX/STi are for looks, nothing more) and look damn nice.
As is, I love the car and the paint. I'd paint the trunklid, but otherwise, I really like it. :)
