Walk in Gary Sheehan's Shoes... part 1

GarySheehan 12-19-2004 07:03 PM

Walk in Gary Sheehan's Shoes...
Literally. I've got a pair of Piloti Imola racing shoes that I don't use, so I'd like to give them away to someone that could use them. These are the shoes Piloti gave to me to wear for the European Car Magazine 1.8T Challenge. They are size 7.5 US (7 UK, 40.5 EUR), worn only once and are in great shape.

So let's have a little fun in the Motorsports forum! The funniest reason why you should walk in my shoes gets them.

We'll let this go until Tuesday evening. Funniest answer gets them. You pay for shipping, whatever method you choose. This way there's still time to get them in time for the holidays.

Gimmee gimmee.

I'll go with...My wife looks silly walking around in $10 wrestling shoes at events and can fit in those little tiny foot size shoes unlike my 10.5 feet.
scottvw13 12-19-2004 09:29 PM

Because I'm the only other forum member cursed with feet as small as yours...

I SHOULD walk in your shoes, as there is no way I could drive as well as you, whether wearing your shoes or not. ;)

Oh well, I tried to be funny and complimentary at the time.....BTW, they are my size, which is kinda funny.....

turboICE 12-20-2004 12:34 AM

The best reason I would have if they fit would be because in my current shoes I managed to trip over my trailer ramps while changing a radiator in the middle of the night and bruised both my knees the weekend I was at my race license evaluation.

But if I am the funniest, I have a couple track friends to choose from who would take them from my ill fortuned fall.

I think they should come signed though - the least you could do for us doing you the favor of clearing up your shoe rack!
CirrusWRX 12-20-2004 11:58 AM

Why I need these shoes:

Because I bet my friend $10 that even though they've been worn by the great Gary Sheehan, his sweaty driving feet still smell like ass!

Mister_wagon 12-20-2004 01:13 PM

Because my life is so miserable, taking those shoes out of my size 10 feets at the end of the day would be my only happy moment. :D

Well since I do yoga-Pilates at the track to warm up and get my mind and body ready to race, a new slogan could be:

"Gary Sheehan's Pilotis - even better than yoga-Pilates!"

:alien:
GT2RS 12-21-2004 01:47 AM

In congruent with shoes thought i'd share...

Sam and Bessie are in their 80's and Sam always wanted an expensive pair of shoes. Seeing them on sale one day, he purchases them and comes home, asking Bessie, "So, do you notice anything different about me?"
Bessie responds, "What's different? It's the same shirt you wore yesterday and the same pants,"

Frustrated, Sam goes into the bathroom, undresses and comes out naked, just wearing the new shoes. Again he asks, "So, Bessie, do you notice anything different?"

Bessie again responds, "What's different, Sam? It's hanging down today; it was hanging down yesterday and will be hanging down tomorrow,"

Angrily Sam yells, "Do you know WHY it's hanging down? Because it's looking at my new shoes! THAT's why it's hanging down!"

Bessie replies, "You should have bought a new hat!"

This might have the same "unwanted" effect with Gary's shoes but i'd gladly take that nice Piloti anyway! :D
az ej20 fan 12-21-2004 03:13 AM

Well, Gary might have small feet...but I'm sure he could kick ALL of our butts on the track...

I have no brilliant or funny story other than hoping to have a piece of the USTCC champs memorabilia...and maybe I can cut a few seconds off my autoX times.

Thanks Gary...
RacingBlue 12-21-2004 07:54 AM

I'd really really be interested in Michele Mouton's shorts, I'm just not a toe guy.
GarySheehan 12-21-2004 11:20 AM

OK everyone, today is the last day. There have been some pretty good ones. I've also made a list of people that are getting coal. It's a long list... ;)

We'll do this around 6pm tonight, so if the winner is on the east coast, you'll still be awake to discuss shipping. I'll get them out tomorrow morning.

And for your information, these shoes smell like roses. When you SHOWER DAILY, you tend not to stink up a pair of shoes in an afternoon. Some of you guys might want to give that a shot.

Wow, you guys are so funny with all your jokes!

But I actually need to walk in Gary's shoes. You see, I just finished college and beginning my grown up life. I went to my Bank (Susquehanna Patriot Bank) to get a loan to pay for all my college debts, and they put them selves in my shoes and determined that I am really poor and have bad credit history. So they denided me of a loan.

Now if I had walked into the bank wearing Gary's shoes (who is I am sure wealthier and has better credit history), maybe when they put themselves in my (Gary's ;) ) shoes they will give me a loan with nice and low interest rate.

I need the shoes because I couldn't afford the car you were selling earlier this year -

But first a question or two?
-Do 2 size 7 shoes add up to one size 14 4E??
-Can you throw in some socks to match?
-Are you sure you didn't accidentally step in dog poop after the race?
-How much of the profit from selling them on EBay do you want?

Mushashi 12-21-2004 02:47 PM

Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at
the Pearly Gates.

"In honor of this Holy Season," Saint Peter said, "you must
each
possess something that symbolizes Christmas to get into
Heaven."

The first man fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a
lighter. He flicked it on.
"It represents a candle," he said.

"You may pass through the Pearly Gates," Saint Peter said.

The second man reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of
keys.
He shook them and said, "They're bells."
Saint Peter said, "You may pass through the Pearly Gates."

The third man started searching desperately through his pockets
and finally pulled out a pair of women's panties.

St. Peter looked at the man with a raised eyebrow and asked,
"And just what do those symbolize?"

The man replied, "They're Carols."

I need to walk in your shoes just in case that third guy is me.

My current pair of Piloti Monaco's are about worn out. I almost bought another pair online this morning. (No kidding) Unfortunately we don't share the same size. I think Piloti maybe going out of business because alot of web stores are having closeouts on them. Whoever gets them will have an ultra rare set of driving shoes.

Zuffy 12-21-2004 10:21 PM

Why I would like to walk in Gary's shoes?

My shoe size is 7.5US so I could actually walk in the shoes without losing circulation to my feet. Oh, and when walking around and showing them off around the office and people tell me "nice wrestling shoes" can tell them: Noooo, they are racing shoes worn by a professional racing driver Gary Sheehan. When I'm walking a auto-x course and people tell me nice driving shoes I can tell them: Noooooo, these are wresting... err, yah, Gary Sheehan wore these, sweet huh?

Hello,

Wow, talk about bitter... "wah, my one line posts are funny." "give me the shoes." "you're a jerk" blah blah blah.

Heh, I'm guessing either M is not responsible for securing sponsorship for the FSAE team, or this is the last year his school will be fielding an FSAE team. Or maybe his school forgot about the business aspect of the race car and team development, which probably means very few members go anywhere in the racing world... I remember when FSAE guys were polite and *asked* for things, instead of demanding them.

Tsk tsk.

Joel
M 12-23-2004 03:27 PM
