I dont remember seeing that allowance in SP either...however, the stock rad is PLENTY light in an sti.
I like my SM car....it comes from the factory at illegal weight. 2550 with a full tank of gas. (AWD, Turbo <3.0L min is 2600)
Right now its at 2490 with some items legally removed...that was STILL with full AC, turbo engine, AWIC setup...I was going to go back to FSP and it was well within FSP rules.
Now its back to SM...but I'll be doing AWD, N/A and <3.0L..so the min for that is 2400. Seats, no AC, no more spiney thingy stuffs mean I should be sitting at 2400 is not less. Time for balast!

I weighed in at 2950 at this years SCCA SOLO Natl's. It's an SM car. I don't know what else to take out to make it lighter. I have a Honda Civic battery(lighter than stock and cheap).
-No rear seats
-no radio or speakers
-I'm wingless
-I've got Stoptechs
-Hollow sways
-3piece wheels
-race buckets in the front
-1/4 tank of gas
-cruise control removed
-no windshield washer tank
Sorry if I'm dragging this off-topic. I'm looking at it for SP. I thought the radiator could be replaced (I have seen it on a few older SP cars), but I can't find the allowance...
Unless there has been a new allowance in the last 6 or so months this has always been illegal in SP. ST as well.

I was exploring the possibility of making your own carbon fiber interior pieces. B-pillar covers, dash poeces, etc. Would you be able to use the stock piece as a template and mold carbon fiber over that. It seems like that would be easy, I don't know much about using carbon fiber. I know the materials are still expensive but it would certainly be cheaper then buying pre made parts? would this work?

Remove metal plate under dash on driver's side, maybe 5 lbs
Remove metal plate in glove box (you have to remove the box and basically dismantle it), it might be 5 lbs
Same time, remove under-dash DRL module, a few ounces
Remove cross-bar under rear seat, 7 lbs
Remove extra brackets in engine compartment (including DRL module/bracket)
Besides spare/jack/tire iron, remove boards and padding from trunk
Lighter brakes/rotors
As mentioned, lighter battery:
