Is there another grille i can buy for a 2006 Wrx. Im trying to convince my cousin to buy one over the Honda Accord but he says he doesnt like the grille. If anybody knows of any mods or aftermarket grilles it would be a great help. Thanks

keep them comming people...the syms kit is great but is there something more cost effective becasue the grill is the only thing that bothers him.

that grill makes me think saab. If he seriously wants to buy an Accord over a WRX because of the front grill I say let him buy the Accord. He'll never fully appreciate the WRX.

The accord is FWD but it is a very decent handler on street surfaces with a *much* more sophisticated suspension system than the WRX.
Unlike the previous gen accord, it is *not* a camry.

The new Accords are good creature-comfort cars. My girlfriends mother has an '06 and it's quite nice inside. Much nicer than my WRX. If he's looking for performance than he's obviously looking at the wrong car, but if he's just looking for a decent daily-driver, then either car would probably suit him fine.

he appreciates the wrx...but looks mean alot to him tooo....If they still had the bugeyes new or the 04-05 body style new he would definitley get a wrx. However he needs to buy a new car....used is not a option. The only thing holding him back from the wrx is the grille. The accord was another option in his price range. Come on people helpt to recruit another suby owner

it's simple solution....
test drive the accord...
then test drive the wrx....
the choice should be obvious....
and yes...i'm a reformed honda driver....bout my first scooby last summer, and never regretted it for a second....;)

My friend/neighbor is driving the Accord, and I own the WRX. He drove my car and said WRX feels better. I think the choice is very obvious. Sym AWD, turbo boxer engine, 0-60 in less than 6 s. Please please tell him get WRX, he'll love it.

if he doesn't like it now, he won't like it later. If he doesn't want an impreza for what it has on the inside, he's honestly better off with an accord.

Yeah i agree the front of the 06 wrx looks really ugly. Performance aside why buy a car you don't like looking at too?...But others are right as they are two totally different apples/oranges.
Check out the legacy gt. Or how bout the new civic SI?

Do this- take him to a subaru dealer and test drive a WRX. I myself HATED the front end and for a while looked for an 05 but was waaay too late. I was like fine I'll get that damn pig nose- I hear it has more power anyway so I guess it's alright. As soon as I saw it I fell in love with how it looked. It really is something that looks horrible in pictures but in person it's a completely different aura and car.

the v6 6mt accord is fast. i came from a swapped civic and i miss it sometimes. i don't mind the front end of my 06, i think it is just different. most people thought the bugeye was nasty when it came out. but truthfully, if it wasn't for the 06 having the better brakes, more displacement and auto climate control...i would still be in my civic.

man some of you guys are swinging hard on the corporate [fill in the blank]. I still dont see how it is so hard for some people on here to understand that there are people out there that really arent that big in performance. My brother for instance. He could not possibly care any less about what a car can do than how it looks and feels.
Some of you guys need to grow up and realize that Subarus just arent for everyone and AWD is not really needed everywhere. For instance AWD is murder in SoCal. it sucks up more gas and costs more to maintain. We dont have snow to worry about so if the performance is not an issue then why bother getting AWD? What for that one trip a year you take to a cushy resort in the mountains?
Second, Hondas are well built cars that got bad reps because of stupid people that do stupid things. That is all! I cant wait to see what you guys will say when Subaru follows the same path. aren040 is right subaru's are nice cars and all but damn you guys are talking down on other japanese car companies like subaru is GOD. i could go down list of things that suck about subies but i dont need to because members have complained about all sorts of things already. if he wants the accord let him have it,subaru is not paying you to recruit new owners let the brand speak for itself .enjoy whatever YOU drive :D

As sick as I think that looks, I think it looks way to close to a Protege for it to ever become close to a production vehicle for subaru.

Sence they guy is interested in looks, I thought this might apply: If the guy is looking for some street cred, the accord is not the car thats going to get it.

I don't like the 06 grill either but I still think it look better than the 06 accord.
