Recent turn of events.
My buddy who I sold the car to, is getting a GT3 street car in 6 weeks, 4 dys and 9 hours. ( who is counting)....so this project was CANNED recently. This means the Kelly Moss ported and flowed cylinder head,..is available. This means the 1989 Turbo-S block with 23k on it,.is available .This means the proven, tried ans true ex-Firehawk rebuilt S2 trans with short gears and shimmed to 85% are available. THis means the tub with cage is available as well as the Bilstein Cupcar shocks and carbon dash and lexan rear glass,..all available. And a host of other small Porsche Motorsport parts.
However, because the wife's KITCHEN( URRRRG :furious: :mad: ) is 10k over budget, and because the AC failed in the house last week, and because one of my sponsors for my Panoz Winter series just backed out the other day,..it doesnt mean I can get this back.

So here are most of the go fast parts for a 944 turbo. If these parts were bolted onto a stock 944 turbo S, the car could do a 1.25 out the box at SUmmit with a suck driver behind the wheel.
So I am headed down stairs with some Spaten Octoberfest to watch the old VHS tapes of in car footage before they crumple and break and the VCR blows up.
This only means I HAVE to build a nasty time attack car for next year. Esp since there are NO MORE projects in the house that can disrupt the more important things in life,.........CARS. :devil:
If anyone is drinking tonight, have one for the memory of my old car.

The only 944 I have had a chance to drive. Man was that sucker fun. Totally gutted with a honkin turbo.

damn you all.. after this thread I so want to sell the N/A and get a turbo... but i think i would need to upgrade my wallet to handle a car like that.

a 951 or 968 is STILL the porsche i want to own the most right now. being realistic. and the turbo 3.0 liter 968 is just insane.
