I have never liked the look of the 04+ scoop on the bugeye . The jdm sti scoop fits way better .

A lot of people have been wanting to see this? First of all, it's been around for a long time (as soon as they came out with the new body style someone made this scoop for the 02 03s). Secondly, the jagged look of the new scoop looks good on the new car. The rounded look of the stock scoop goes much better with the bugeye model. Nice try.

I believe 40, its the level above legal. I did not do it. I bought the car used back in the day, amost brand newe though.

Personaly I like the JDM STI Scoop - which is what I have but that looks ok - Maybe you should put your wing back on with some risers. I bet that would complement the profile... See if someone can PainChop it for you I bet it would be very easy.
Anyway... mod the car your way we need as many different flavors as possible. ;)

It looks ok... It matches the color pretty well. Whatever floats your boat. Personally, I like the original 02-03 STi scoop on the bugeyes, but that is just me.
But tell me about the wheels... Are those 16"? What brand/model?

Thanks to the people who like it. It is a MRT scoop. You have to look for it but I got it from Xcceleration.com The wheels are 17" Konig knock-offs. I got these from Wheel Max. The brand is Exel and the wheel is called Mimi. Its almost a HRE kind of look. When i put the coiovers on later this year, it will look HOTTER!

i think it looks pretty good man! so good job! i actually have a Carbon Fiber hood for 02-03 with an 04 scoop on it and it looks good (it's for sale by the way, decided i want performance over cosmetic) but it looks good, anyone that tries something that's out of the ordinary is just making a path for something even better and cooler looking so the flamers need to be considerate ;)... damn maybe i should try the philosophy major....nah...
also, is the excel company, is that the same company that makes motorcycle rims, when i raced motocross my bikes always had excel rims...

i think it'll probably look better if you do something to match the agressive angular lines of the scoop, something along the lines of an oem front lip and partially painted morrettes or something.

Oh def! I am getting a STi v1 lip with JDm's. It will look much different.

I am feeling the scoop, looks good. IMHO, it makes the front a tad more agressive looking. I like the no wing as well.

personaly not my thing, but i agree that it would look better with a spoiler on the back to balance it out.
oh, and there is actually a much bigger scoop available for the bugeye. it has like a 4 inch high opening!! there are pics of it buried somewhere in the members gallery section

I used to have the MRT Sti scoop, but wanted something bigger than the STi guys. This scoop fits the bill nicely, although my sti splitter doesnt fill the scoop as you can see from the pics...hehe
