Will they be able to support a wing? Because the Monster trunk is a P.O.S. That thing couldn't support a stock wing.

Yeah when Dan from Vivid had his crappy trunk on the blue car. (which is now moved to the red car like the rest of the parts I think) We set a carbon wing on it, approx. the size of the CWest wing. Not even bolted into the trunk, and that thing was flexing under the weight. So your trunks need to be FAR stronger than the Monster Sport ones.

Daven,
I'm interested.
How much CDN $$??? With shipping, of course, to my place. I wouldn't want a keyhole on mine.
Have you seen one finished yet? How's the weave? I guess I can talk to you more about it on MSN...I just came along this thread.

Nobody can answer this question or what? I am not not expecting C-West quality for $500 but it needs to support a wing at least.

i gotta monster sport and have no wing on it. But i think everyone may be missing the point. Monster sports no crappy quality. they jus made the deck thin, because its suppose to be as light as it can be. So if you put a heavy fiberglass, or aluminum wing, it kinda defeats the point of making your car lighter. I know i know just a carbon trunk isnt going to make your car lighter, or any faster, but i dont think there is anything wrong with monster sport products, i mean they were the first to make a carbon trunk for a wrx. I mean they could have made it with a few more layers of fiberglass backing the CF, but i still think monster sport made the trunk for people going for weight reduction, and race cars. i sure c-west makes a better trunk or anyone else out there making cf trunks now, but they probally make them so there more practical for people, so you can put wings on them.
So i agree that monster sport wouldnt be a good choice if your planning on putting a wing on your car.
But if your looking for real weight reduction and your not going to put a wing on it, id go with monster sport.
All in all im happy with any CF trunk because im the only one around with a cf trunk on my wrx. i know of one in NYC which is 7 hours away from me. and i havent been to a show yet and see another CF trunk.

All right maybe that was a little harsh. But the wing we put on it was carbon. So it was light as hell, and it still flexed the trunk without even being bolted in. The wing I will do is most likely going to be the CWest. For $500 the trunk should at least be able to hold a wing.

Not quite sure yet...need some definate pricing...if he needs 10 people then it might be tough. I can tell that there's A LOT of interest. I'm kind of in between confirming for this or getting Ganador mirrors. Terence gave me a good price too so I'd like to get a number I can work with vs. the number for the mirrors.
Let me know...thanks for doing this man.
