Gold WRX Defi BF's video plus interior and extiers pics...update!!

i just put some new Defi BF (red) gauges in my car along with the 04 sti cluster. there's 6 Defi gauges....boost, egt, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, and fuel pressure. I'm using the perrin billit aluminum dual pod above the steering colom for two, one in the a/c vent, and the other three are mounted in the Defi CF tri pod in the center.
the total amount spent on this setup for all gauges, control unit, gauge pods, and cluster...was a stunning $2,390...u check out the video of them and tell me if u think it was worth it.

yea it's alot of guages...i know haha...it's oil temp, oil pressure, water temp, boost, EGT, fuel pressure....the center holding the two is the perrin aluminum pod, and the three are in the defi CF pod from gruppe-s..the 6th one is in the A/C vent. i think thats it...lol!!

random question: did you do anything to block off the air vent when you installed the gauge? I'm in the process of installing my greddy peak/hold and i'm wondering if i really need to block up the flow. I've heard that it'll get hot enuf to actually make the gauge function improperly. :confused: Is this true?

no that is not true...it will work fine that way, i ran an egt gauge there before forever and never had a problem. also i had one of the techs from subaru tell me it was fine. :)

Looks super cool. More than I'd spend, personally as I still need wheels and some suspension stuff. But if I did those things already, I'd be there wicha. Maybe with just three guages to start with. Love that STI guage cluster. $500? Was it a difficult install? Did you get the temp to work? Did you get the rev alarm to work?
