Cant get it to work for me. Do you hold down the button with the radio off or on? Lights on or off? I've tried different combinations and all that happens is I manage to turn the radio off.

Should be exactly the same for all 02-07 impreza/wrx/STi

In the 1st post the OP answers that yea the 06 sti is different so it seems each year/model might be unique. I don't really want to cut on a guess :D

First pry out white clip
Now you see what kinda looks like brown teeth, uppers and lowers. You need to gently pry out on the middle upper "tooth" releasing the pin. pull gently on the wire while prying up on the "tooth" until you feel it let go.[IMG]http://i1165.photobucket.com/albums/q588/kawkore/c7707e43.jpg[/IMG]

I didn't bother taping the wire up because thee is nothing but plastic under the shroud and I didn't peel back any tape so there isn't a bunch of wire hangin loose.

I ended up just locating the LIG wire and cut that, it works fine. It was the white/red wire for me.

so the sti and wrx (06-07) wire you cut will be the same one if i do it to an 06 2.5?
