Interesting. Top STU STI was an '06; albeit in 3rd place.

Who's got the black WRX/STi(?) that was all decaled up on Saturday?

Gary - that would either be Josh Sortor or Alec Osenbach.
Times from Saturday were meaningless given it was very wet and dry on Sunday, Afertnoon sessions on Saturday were not run due to rain induced technical difficulties, so they gave us 6 runs today (three each side).
In STX, Josh Sortor won with Jeff Barco in 2nd.
In STU, Richard Jung won, with Steve O'Blenes 2nd (BMW) and me 3rd in my 06 STI. Josh and the top 3 from STU got thru to the Super Challenge (as STU was very close).
Josh ended up 4th and I made the top 16.
Kevin Dietz won the super challenge.

SCCA uses a sequential database (more or less). Just try the next number at the end of the URL:
http://www.scca.com/Event/Result.asp?Ref2=249
becomes
http://www.scca.com/Event/Result.asp?Ref2=250
Doesn't always work, but usually. Doesn't look like Sunday's results are up yet.
I did not learn this technique surfing for p0rn. Well, okay maybe.
If you were asking the more basic question about getting the URL in the first place, the SCCA's effort to hide result URLs is curious--what's the point? Simply open a new duplicate window (CTRL+N) of the page and a normal browser window appears, complete with URL.

However, are those REALLY final results?? I thought I'd read that there were 4 runs (2 each side) on Saturday and 6 runs (3 each side) on Sunday. The Sunday URL only shows 6 runs total, including the 4 from Saturday.
Can anyone who was there verify if the "251 results" are accurate?

Those 251 results are not accurate. They seem to show the two runs from Saturday and then just the first run (of three) on Sunday. However, the positions seem to be correct.

I wish it rained on Sunday, my wife had a 4.7 second lead in L2 with a cone after Saturday's soaking, her wet times would have placed her second in STX open!

I'm guessing your wife is Shauna? If so, that definitely looked like a nice job! Is she making it out to Topeka anytime soon? She should!! :)
But if the times are correct on the website, it looks like Saturday's results would have had her in 8th place in STX (open)?

Yup, that's my girl! We're hoping to make Topeka this year.
As far as the placing in open, I was going off second hand information, it was so wet we didn't really study the Saturday hardcopy results. I'm probably wrong, it's been known to happen from time to time.

| Jsortor | 03-13-2006 02:58 PM |
Shauna was a theoretical 2nd in STX open on Saturday with about 88 seconds total time. Barco was the only one in the 87's after the wet runs. The results page is a little wacky right now I think.
| jcroy66 | 03-13-2006 03:10 PM |
Josh, thanks. I wondered if that was the case (wacky results). Second in open - that's awesome! :)
PKer, cool, hope you guys make it to Topeka! I was really disappointed by the small number of STX/STXL ladies last year. This year, I'll be in open, but I always like to see more ladies out, whatever class they're in!!
It's going to really throw me for a loop though, hearing things like "Shauna in the STX WRX", since my first name is also Shawna. :) I haven't gone by it in about 18 years, but I still seem to answer to it. So if I accidentally answer when someone isn't actually talking to me, that's why. :)

KC, that's "Shawna". With an "A". :p
Josh, no, I hated "Shawna". I was very unpopular as a little kid, one of the kids everyone else picked on. So having an unusual name was just one more thing to be teased about. I decided that "Jennifer" (my middle name) was too common a name to make fun of. So in 7th grade, I switched. Years later, when I was in high school, I was actually proud of my unusual name, and liked it again. But I had gotten so much ribbing from my friends when I forced them to call me something different when I went to "Jennifer", that I didn't think it'd be a good idea to tell them to all call me "Shawna" again. I tried to go back to "Shawna" when I started college, figuring no one knew me by "Jennifer" so it would be easy. Problem was: by that time, I was used to introducing MYSELF as "Jennifer", and so I'd go up to people, "Hi, my name is Jennifer. Uh, Shawna. Oh forget it!!" After about 2-3 days, I gave up, and just stuck with Jennifer. :)

Herro,
Just got home. 9 hour drive, last hour in pouring rain. Overall, it was a great event. Driving wise, I felt like i did 9/10ths. I just need a lot more seat time with the car, which I intend to do before Atwater. Sometimes, you need to get your ass kicked in order to step it up. I can't wait for Richard Jung and Steve O to come up to Atwater, and hopefully all the Team Blew guys too. Max did awesome in his 06 STi, and really took the fight to Jung and Steve.
Besides my mediocre driving, I had a blast. Team Blew guys are awesome. We had two enjoyable nights of beer, tequilla, and reach around at Logan's steakhouse. Even Sortor joined in. Thank you to Max for letting me stay/soil his spare room Thursday night. Thank you to Barco for his gentle touch Friday and Saturday night. Also, Mako and Greg in the pool/sauna. And Roman for letting me touch his badge. Oh yeah, and those two punk ass STX drivers from Seattle. Hope your flights were safe.
Where are the over 1,000 pictures i kept hearing about????

Our newbie Chad S. got 2nd place in his DS WRX in the Bonus Challenge in only his 2nd ever AX! Started the day getting lost three times ... ended up improving his best race run by something like 4 seconds during the Bonus Challenge.

I guess he was happy that he accidentally bought the wider 225/16's Kooks instead of the oem size he insisted would be good enough.
Our newbie Chad S. got 2nd place in his DS WRX in the Bonus Challenge in only his 2nd ever AX! Started the day getting lost three times ... ended up improving his best race run by something like 4 seconds during the Bonus Challenge.

I had a great time too. I hope to see you next year.
Chad had his index reduced by 4.8 seconds, so he broke out by about 3.2 seconds! That is the largest breakout I have ever seen. Talk about figuring it out. His comment when he got back to the grid was "I guess I went too fast." It was an awesome showing.
