try fizz autosports... they had them in stock for awhile..
thedaddyb 11-01-2005 07:47 PM

i saw one similar to that, but it was spring loaded. once you reached a certain speed, the liscense plate would fold upwards from the wind hitting it. pretty sweet idea. especially if you have a fmic.
Synic Motorsports 11-01-2005 09:26 PM

we are getting those license plate bracket from Japan in about a week or two.
Email me if you are interested :)

Thanks,
Shuji

Just to help Synic out with the Pm's here's what they sent me:

Hi Allan,

We sell it for $25 shipped but wont be able to get it for a week or two from Japan.
also you will drill 2 small holes on your license plate since the bracket is made for Japanese license plate...
let me know if you are interested.

Thanks,
Shuji

Please educate me- why would you want a bracket to adjust your plate?
teh Phil 11-02-2005 03:27 PM
Please educate me- why would you want a bracket to adjust your plate?
The flatter the plate, the more air is being deflected from the engine bay.
allpraiseJC 11-02-2005 10:14 PM

Shuji, do you have those brackets available yet?
ATXWRX 11-02-2005 10:43 PM

This is a great idea.. I wish they would pass the Law that no longer required the front plate

that looks like you could build it very eaisly, and im sure it would cost about the same, plus you wouldnt have to drill holes in anything
grimm5577 11-03-2005 04:44 PM

MAKE ONE!
go to home depot by some angle iron that has holes in it and then screw it on to you bumper!

it'll cost you maybe $7

nice talking to you....will paypal
WRXpiprezza 01-19-2006 11:23 PM

you shouldnt worry about the winter season with these brackets you just have to drill a hole in your front bumper if you never did it. But as far as anything else you should be fine.
ej20love 01-19-2006 11:30 PM

I installed mine last week, no drilling really required, you just have to invert the metal bracket and it will work. You can drill if you'd like though but its just extra work. The looks great!
nxttruck2002 10-30-2006 01:15 AM

they also have a version here http://www.renickmotorsports.com/oscommerce/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1919&osCsid=63a3d209072c9735673be02d802714eb
wrb2006sti 10-30-2006 05:48 PM

the renick one folds in at 35 to 40 mph for better front mount or radiator flow
WRX_tougue_squirrel 10-30-2006 05:56 PM

25? wtf not to be an arse and ruin money but they cost like 800yen in japan wit shipping and stuff i understand 15 but 25? are they platinum?hehehehe. hmmm the billet one looks pretty cool though. you seen the motorized ones?
Old School Scooby 10-30-2006 06:11 PM

we have them at my shop, www.fastlaneperformance.com its not on the site but it has our contact info.
Donzo 10-30-2006 07:41 PM

Not to be Captain Obvious here but I doubt they make that much of a change in air flow to make a difference with your fmic anyway lol It's not a ram-air flow fmic. I doubt that 95% of the members on this board would notice any difference whatsoever regarding air flow to the fmic with this mod. I think this mod is mainly for those cameras at traffic lights. They can't get a shot of your plate with this bracket.
Rexxyou 10-31-2006 12:17 AM

auto zone, its 8 dollars. i have one. its made by bell
trauma11 10-31-2006 11:35 AM

Or everyone could go to autozone and buy that exact product for 7 dollars
MK19_ 10-31-2006 11:45 AM

$100 for the Renick one??? I'll stick with my illegal Euro plat thanks :p
