Jdm wagon waist spoiler search contiunes
Has anyone found a reasonable place to get a rear waist wagon spoiler for a reasonable price besides subie dude $600?
WgnWheel 01-04-2006 03:12 PM

nope..........japanparts, gruppe-s can probably get it but its gonna be $600:(
prelude/2.5rs 01-04-2006 10:47 PM

Canadian version for a little over $400 painted. Not as attractive as the JDM/EDM, but a waist spoiler nonetheless. Good luck w/ your search.

hybrid gti 2 01-04-2006 11:01 PM

ya but still can not even find info on that or where to get it. I heard there was a guy selling one cheap at dallas subaru and he never bothered to email me back.
Bman 01-04-2006 11:05 PM

Is there a cheap replica?
hybrid gti 2 01-04-2006 11:09 PM

sware we should all get togeather and see if they will make them and do a group buy :D
Bman 01-04-2006 11:11 PM

I'd be down :)
darknightohio 01-04-2006 11:31 PM

oops, misread the thread
hybrid gti 2 01-05-2006 12:11 PM

ok where did this bumper idea come in to play when I was talking about spoilers?
elsanto 01-15-2006 09:38 PM

japanparts.com has them for 400ish... painted + 50ish shipping... can't link. damn database.

hanzo918 01-16-2006 03:19 AM

How much r u willing to pay for replicas?
elsanto 01-16-2006 09:19 AM

if I can get the real deal painted and shipped to my door for 460, the replica would have to be around 150 definitely under 200 to make it even tempting.. as paint will probably be another 175-250..
e28fixer 01-16-2006 01:35 PM

^^^ I agree. I plan to have my sideskirts and front clip repainted at some point anyway so I could probably save a bit getting the spoiler painted at the same time. Paying more than that just makes no sense to me now that I've bought a house. I guess life is calling...
BSLICKOH 01-16-2006 02:08 PM

I bought mine -- years ago, mind you -- from Vivid Racing for around $400. No idea if they still sell them.

I think the Canadian ones are now unavaialble- I tried a couple of places (I think I even had the part #) :( I'm one of the few that actually liked the CA better.

Shipping from Japan would be killer- it's a pretty big piece.

The wing is also available in the UK and AU, but again shipping $
hanzo918 01-17-2006 02:25 AM

Damn u guys r el cheapo.... under $200...
elsanto 01-17-2006 09:25 AM

Thanks for the direct blow Hanzo. if you didnt want to know you shouldnt have asked..

meanwhile I'm going to ask Paul eukland over at primitive if he could make one. His customer service is second to none.. and since he sells legacy top spoilers for 125, i can't imagine there is much more involved in the waist spoiler.

i want one :p ... gb would probably sound awsome! ....hmm is it gonna be subaru paint :p ...if it is...i might not be in for that ...hahah

These sponsored links are really starting to irritate. They override the link that was intended by the poster. Grrrr....

looks like auction is gone..

fast-imports ( 382) is the seller..

seller may have more of them. but looks like hybrid and i scarfed up the two he had online. an MRT dealer could probably get this at similar cost.
e28fixer 01-19-2006 12:00 PM

Thanks. Yeah, I saw that auction several days ago. Be sure to post up what you think of them when they come in.

I've got the JDM rear waist spoiler, and the front and rear JDM wagon lips coming from Japanparts.com. The price was $$$, but it's going to be well worth it. Shipping for all 3 parts, was $440 to my door. The packages should be arriving within the next few days!!! I'm pretty damn amped!

$440 shipped? unpainted right? That's pretty a good price.
Panic 01-19-2006 12:54 PM
$440 shipped? unpainted right? That's pretty a good price.
That $440 I would bet is just the shipping cost...All those JDM parts are serious $$$ as the original poster was saying...

But in the end the car will look awesome and unique as I have yet to see a car fully decked out with front and rear lips and the waist spoiler.
Mr. Sadface 01-19-2006 01:00 PM

No, the pieces are painted. And like Panic said, $440 is JUST the shipping...hehe.
Panic 01-19-2006 01:02 PM

Make sure you post up pics of your car once you have everything installed
Mr. Sadface 01-19-2006 01:07 PM

Oh trust me, I will. I'll post in the Calling All Wagons thread. Install will be done by the first week in Feb I'd assume. I've already got the JDM wagon 'sporty' grille, JDM aero guards, rear JDM "Subaru" sticker, and side strakes. The lips and spoiler should round out the body mods nicely.
Panic 01-19-2006 01:10 PM

Wow

Let me know if you want to sell the aero guards once you have the rear lip on (not sure if they will fit)...
Mr. Sadface 01-19-2006 01:24 PM

I only got the front aero guards (I knew they wouldn't fit w/the JDM rear lip)
Panic 01-19-2006 01:44 PM

oh well, for me...Smart thinking for you

440 was the shipping cost. reading comprehension...
prelude/2.5rs 01-19-2006 06:40 PM

I have to do it:

I know a lot of you guys are talking about the 04/05 wagon, but I had to take the opportunity to post pics of my car. The JDM/EDM wagon lips and spoilers are pricey, but well worth it...if you really want to give your wagon a different look. The mid-wing pictured is the JDM/EDM version.

Mike
Mr. Sadface 02-02-2006 01:51 PM

hehe....I now have the JDM rear waist spoiler installed! Also bolted on the front and rear JDM wagon lips! Pics will follow once she's cleaned up.
hybrid gti 2 02-03-2006 01:13 PM

got mine the other day

I will post the guys info as he gave me a invoice as well with his info.
rukkie 02-03-2006 01:45 PM

need more pictures. :)
johnnyb 02-03-2006 01:58 PM

I am usually a fan of all things wagon, but that seems to be spoiler overkill.

Nice white wagon though!
elsanto 03-13-2006 05:16 PM

anyone know a good thread for photos with waiste spoilers installed? Specifically an MRT midwing on a wrb bugeye :) thanks having second thoughts on this.

Good find...I remeber doing a post like this when I was looking for a Version 6 high and waist spoiler, talk about beating the bushes.

If you are ever looking for rare subie parts I'd go to yahoo.co.uk and do a search. England has just as many aftermarket subaru tuning companies as we do.

Congrats

What type of side mirrors are on the white wagon? I like the LED blinker on them? where and how much??
What type of side mirrors are on the white wagon? I like the LED blinker on them? where and how much??
The mirror covers are made by Morrette. They are LED blinkers(clear LED's that light up amber). I paid about $90 for them. This is cheaper than what they usually retail for because I got them off of a fellow member. They come unpainted, but include all hardware and instructions.

I got mine from the Subaru dealership, believe it or not. However, I don't see any listing for it on subaruparts.com. I couldn't find the part number on Subaru-Fast neither.

This is aussie dollars, I think: http://subaru.com.au/explore/Impreza/accessories.asp?body=Hatch&grade=WRX

I finally found the part number in Subaru-Fast. After I found it, though, I went to subaruparts.com and it said part not found, but it may be worth a shot to take the p# to your local dealership and give it to them.

Could you explain how my dealer got his hands on the one he sold me? I got mine from the dealership that used to be in Waipahu, Hawaii (which I know is not part of SOA) but that may be an option...importing from Hawaii.

GG Waist Spoiler has never,
was never
and never will be,
available here in the states as a factory part
