Stephen had a tsx retrofit, and really started liking my s2k's after he saw them in person so he sold his setup, and took the plunge on the s2k's.
While we were at it he wanted the Metallic Black paint on the housings, reflectors, and shrouds.
In this case I painted the trim around the projector silver to make it stand out alittle more, which also adds more of a OEM look IMHO.
I like this style the best out of all of them....what do you think?

Are the TSX retrofits only available for bugeyes with the JDM Projector style headlights? I'm sure this question has been answered in other threads, but your threads happen to get pretty long.

the car may be on an uneven or sloped surface, and that may cause it to be tilted the the right on the z axis, but we don't really know without seeing the car and how it's sitting.
i've been working on my own retrofit and i haven't even thought about how i'm going to make my projectors align correctly on the z axis, any input would be very helpful.
this is what i have so far: http://i18.tinypic.com/4fy4ox5.jpg
the bezels i'm using are each a half of a bracelet from claire's accessories. if you want a chrome bezel i'd suggest checking them out, they were 2.50

I aligned these perfectly with stephen so I know they are fine. Both axis look tilted clockwise so he must me on som eunlevel ground...
| LightWerkz | 01-08-2007 10:25 AM |
Those bezels are nice but they are just too small and dont cover up enough ....
When you align the projectors you want to do it on the car before you seal everything up and mount them permanently..

always one-upping! Nice work I do like this color combo. And it is true, s2000 projectors are the god of all projectors. Suck a sharp cut-off!

thanks for the tips! those bezels will probably go over some bigger plastic black covers, like yours.

Although the S2k projectors are nice, there are better projectors. Check out the Lexus LS430 projectors. The bulbs are vertical instead of horizontal so the unit itself looks funny. Slap an 04 TSX clear lens on those same Lexus projectors and WOW  I was sticking some 04 TSX projectors in my 95 accord but I got an 02 WRX that's my new toy. I put some TSX units in my buddy's 96 civic and the output is simply amazing. All cars should come with HID projectors.
Anyone know of a JDM STi knockoff housing we could use to retro?
Keep up the good work Lightwerks!!!

Only ones better then the s2000 are the ls430 and they are too big to throw into our housings. Ive seen one person do it, although I dont think it looks OEM, and he had to cut alot of the rear of the housing to do the retrofit.
Just not my thing, I think ill stick to what actually works, meaing looks good and 100% functional.

Something about this was posted in the electrical forum. Though the LS430 projectors used the stock lenses instead of clear ones, hence the hazy cutoff. :D

I would love to see an aftermarket projector headlamp for the bugeye cars with a retro. Not the expensive JDM lamps but some cheap knockoffs with HID projectors. I've got a few ballasts/projector combinations here to play with along with my bench power supply
| LightWerkz | 01-09-2007 11:06 PM |
You will see them shortly. For now im working on a stock USDM bugeye housing...might be more expensive for the customers, but will look more OEM..
| dnaL0R | 01-09-2007 11:13 PM |
amzing work, yes... but i personally don't like projectors inside MY04-05 headlights... just doesn't look right compared to other parts of the unit, the parking lights, turn signals, and the highbeams... no flow
| Superorb | 01-09-2007 11:27 PM |
I'll keep my eyes peeled. Are there any STi projector knockoffs?

I agree. Manufacturers also get around laws regarding output amount by scattering the light to the sides. It skirts the law but blinds drivers in oncoming lanes, especially when it's very dark out and your eyes have adjusted.
