Limited Edtion Rear Window Lip!

Just recieved and installed a nice little addition to the Sonic Yellow Subie! I picked up a Rear Window Lip from a fellow member that shall go unnamed. The addition looks absolutely fantastic. It's subtle, clean, and gives a very distinct touch. The finish on the product is amazing and the fit and finish is VERY nice. So what do you all think?

could do without the sti logo and it needs to be painted with a clearcoat so it has a reflection. not dull black

it looks good man, and it has a semi gloss finish to it,...it shines a bit in person....and the logo was to cover up the indentation left from the mold of the original:furious:

wee i'm one of the few lucky ones to be sporting this limited edition window spoiler :). waiting to see jims when it comes back from paint to decide whether i want to leave it black to match with the trim on my car or whether i want to paint it to match.

Exactly what I was thinking! I dunno if I am gonna paint it though. I kinda like it the way it is! Plus with my rear window tinted, it all flows well. I was REALLY excited when I got in the car and noticed that this piece in no way blocks any of your rear view! Very nice!

the spoiler we used to make a modl was from visionary racing...you can go to their website and see the one they were selling...its a carbon fiber piece...this one is plastic

I like the way it looks as well! I'm sure it's not actually working right now, since I don't have a Spoiler for it to direct air to, but if I did have a Spoiler for it to direct air to, I think it would have to be atleast the size of an APR-GTC 200 size spoiler. But yes, it does look sweet!

thank you man, i dont know how i would fix the corners, we made the mold from the original and just modded it a bit to get a better fit...i dont know if i will be making anymore of these, it was a lot of work and i just dont have the time...sorry guys to those that missed out

Very nice indeed, I just prefer the non Carbon Fiber piece because I don't want mine to crack. But it's molded out of the same design. See on the pic above how there is an indentation. That's were my badge is.

I was thinking of ditching my carbon vortex genorator (roof fins) and going with that set up. I thnk it would look good with my carbon mines trunk lip.

I prefer the Ureshi CF window spoiler much much better....the fitment I've seen on at least 3 other cars were perfect. Even on Vison's Car. :)
As far as the CF cracking? Well I don't think it would crack before a 'plastic' piece would.
What are they made of anyway?

I've personally seen two of the UI Carbon Fiber lip's on Sale here that had small cracks in them. That's all I'm saying.

:lol: It's deffinetly not made of Fiberglass, that's for sure! No It's been molded out of some sort of reinforced plastic. Anyone who sees it in person absolutely falls in love with it!
