I am going to have some armrests done on it too
Pics of the underside will be up next week since I am leaving for the AKArally right now.
Thanks for the positive comments guys lol

+1 for this. the sti seat sucks for support as it is i could never imagine using it as a desk chair. Sweet idea though so +2 for being creative

The physics Ergonomics involved in driving and those with desk work are not as similar as you might think. I think the STI or even the WRX buckets would be comfortable day after day as long as the seat is attached to the base correctly.

| TRooper | 10-06-2006 07:14 PM |
Did you do the resistor trick for the side airbags?
| brodiemash | 10-06-2006 07:19 PM |
Wish we hod those at work. Nice!
| iMP|2EZiONS | 10-06-2006 07:22 PM |
That's one of the coolest things I've seen in a while.
| Thaddy | 10-06-2006 08:06 PM |
A while ago I saw a place that was selling computer chairs using the buckets from Corvette's. I remember them being $200...
| shemoves | 10-06-2006 08:10 PM |
AND...you should wire up a 'big red button' so when someone comes over to your desk and starts 'lookin'-over-the-shoulder' you push it and WHACK! goes the side airbag.
| JRSC13 | 10-06-2006 08:55 PM |
your a bi--- for teasing us for something we all want but can't have!
| arfrce | 10-06-2006 11:58 PM |
You can have one. You can get one from Racaro, Corbeau, Bride. Just log onto yahoo and search for racing computer chairs. I think it is corbeau that sells the bottoms parts of the chairs, and everything else to hook up your own chair. Or you can buy it as a kit. They are cool though. I would like to have the ultra thin, Porsche, Skyline, Bride seats. Those would be light enough to take turns, jumps, passengers. LOL
| chris-man | 10-07-2006 01:22 PM |

| Jonnyfilmboy | 10-07-2006 03:20 PM |

| InfamousDX | 10-11-2006 01:12 AM |
Airbags are still in tact... if we have a spare subaru battery we'll mount it under the chair and toss in a switch in case we feel like having fun, lol.

Too whom it may concern. But I know you can buy the bases (computer chair) by them selves out of any office furnature guide, or you could contact any local walmart for a cheap chaor with the base attached. So there is the base. Now contact these guys http://www.jdmpartstx.com for a seat. I am sure they have one since they import stuff all the time. have fun hope it helps.

| littlewhitewagon | 10-13-2006 12:42 PM |
Can we get a video of when the airbag is activated? I want to see how far the person in the seat will fly...put the airbag side against a strong wall...
