Roof fins, yay or nay?

Hey just wanted some opions. I have a custom carbon fiber vortex genorator / roof fins on my car right now. What dose everyone think? I have had mixed reviews so far and not sure if i want to keep them or not. I was also thinking of geetin a UI carbon rear window lip...

Yeah just doing something different. Part of me likes it part of me dosen't. I have some other small carbon details on her too. Reverse hood scoop, mines trunk lip, engine and interior dress up.

They look too Bart Simpson-hair spikey for me. But that is just my personal taste. They do look a little better as part of the overall package.

I don't think the roof fins look that bad, I actually considered getting one myself. I don't like the window spoiler though, looks stupid.
But I lovvvve the '06 roof veins. I want one for my '02 :)

The MR-style fins would look good, if they where smaller.
If you want to spend money on something, get that wing molded to the trunk. The edges look terrible.

I would never drill holes in my rear pillars to install that roof vain. For the people that suggested it, (IMO) its not that hot :o and its something that once its on, its not coming off, like my spec-c roof vent. If my car came with it like my tech 06 sti then Ill let it be. If you have, lets say a white bugeye and put it on thinking its the move, LMAO to you.

With as many times you have posted pics of your car, I would have thought that with all the comments and replies you get with it, you would have already made up your mind on that yay or nay.
I voted for keeping the roof fins, Molded mines, JDM rain guards, JDM front aero guards and JDM rear aprons should set it off nicely.

Because in the absence of the huge wing, the 06 Roof Vane actually causes rear end lift. How much? Who knows. Will you butt-dyno feel it? Who knows. But, tho me..anything that can cause any kind of lift at speed is bad,,

I don't like the roof fins because they're individual fins and look kinda cheap and taped on, imo. The one piece fins that go across the rear window are better, but don't look quite right imo.
I do like the UI spoiler. its different and still looks good. especially with the Mines replica.

Those look a little on the LARGE side. If you want roof fins, I would go with something a little smaller.

The amount of lift it would cause is so small it wouldn't matter, you could probably build more lift by putting your hand out the window.

They are more a function item than a fashon thing for me.. they do work and no it wont add tons of grip or 50whp but it does keep the rear wing much more stable and less turbuent at speed. In effect making it work more efficiently.

Love to see that JBP in the sun (obviously my favorite color!), but I would keep it clean. I personally like the spoiler that goes over the rear window (sticks out a ways from the window), dunno what its called but I'd like to get one.

I like the ones on the EVO, but all the ones they make for the Subarus look horrible. The only one I like for the Subarus is the one that replaces the center section 06-07 STI roof spolier. I voted for the UI glass spolier. :D

With the shaved trunk, JDM rear aprons and JDM rain guards it helped balance out the vortex making it one of the cleanest Imprezas out there.
