Silver WRX with Blue spoiler, rims and intake?

Hey guys, been pondering what to do for my WDRX this comming spring to make a bit more personal and I personally like alot silver,white and blue combo's. I was thinking to give my WRX a real unique.
First step look was to purchase a STi replica spoiler from spoilerdept and have them paint it the STi blue color. Then buy a STi hood scoop *if possible* and paint that the same color. At the same time, I'd also get my stock rims powder coated blue as close as possible to Subaru's line of blue.
What do you think? Anyone done anything like this before? I'd give the car a differe'nt look entirely which is what im looking for.

I think it would look VERY awkward...
I'm guessing it would NOT be well liked. You can't just pick and choose parts to change the color on, there has to be some sort of flow to it. Especially with radical contrast like that. I can see a black spoiler/scoop on a grey car, but not blue on silver...

there are a couple members on this forum with bugeye wrx's with sti spoilers. unless your going to get a front lip of somekind and coilovers/springs i wouldn't recommend an sti spoiler. the rear end will look way too heavy compared to the front end. in my opinion it looks horrible. once you mount that spoiler that's it, no more changing back. not to mention. silver and blue does not match or go well together no matter what car it is. oh, and $200 is not much compared to the price of other mods for your car.
better things to spend your money on:

-wheels/tires

I disagree. This looks kick ass to me. Im doing it for the looks, could care less about "performance" If I can't afford an STi i'll make it LOOK like an STi.

um your car will not look like that without a 1000$ front bumper,grill,hood scoop, moretts(sp), a lip and rims...it will just not look right, you will like the effect alot more if you start at the front and work your way back

On my RS i have the scoop, mirrors, rims, and wing painted flat black, its a BRP so it looks good on a dark blue but i dont think silver and blue would look good together esp not those parts.

very good point. not to mention that you seem to be on a tight budget if your gonna get a replica STI spoiler and claim that an STI hoodscoop is too expensive. ver7 sti parts are expensive not to mention the pic you posted is all 1 color. like you said, i wouldn't do it to my car, well at least not all of it. i did add a few sti parts like the scoop and splitters but that's about enough for me. just my input...

There is a very good reason why we arent doing it to our car...because it's not smart. Do you realize how much those Headlights cost? and the Springs? didnt you think about that? an you think paying $200 for a hood scoop is too much? an yet paying around the same price for a Spoiler that does nothing for you? at least the hood scoop allows more air into your IC. Then what after you have all that stuff on. what if people start asking about how fast your car is an what performance mod's have you done to it. wouldnt saying "um it's stock" be Embaressing to you?

Also, There's more to the Sti that just the performance... The JDM STI headlights, the wing, suspension, scoop... they ALL add to the asthetics of the car, and if people like that look, then by all means GET THE PARTS!!!
So what if he can't afford a real Sti, at least he can get parts that make his WRX look better, and perform better in the process....
If this is the only crap you're going to contribute to this forum, I'd suggest walking away...

i hope phantron just uses this thread as "constructive criticism." its better hearing it now then a few months and hundreds of $$$ down the road. you get 360 degrees of opinions from all kinds of people so you get an idea of what to expect. like i said before, do as you please but keep the car 1 color. just my $0.02

Phantron, IF YOU SO DESIRE THEN DO IT, but personally I dont recommend painting those parts different colors it will look quite strange just get it all the same color an change it if you dont like it. I think you should Get some Spring's since your on a tight budget you can probably find some Used for $150, the wheel gaps on the WRX are pretty big to start off with. Lowering it about 1.5-2 inches should be good enough. Your headlights if you want, there's a tutorial somewhere around here on DIY Black Housing it actually does make a pretty big cosmetic difference it's cheap. Also look's very good..

u might wanna look into some fog light covers too. they look really nice on bugeyes (i don't care for the 04/05 covers). as for different colored parts, do wut u please but research first and try to find a good photochop of some sort to give u an idea, it gets expensive if u dislike something. i think the blue/silver combo would look good if it was done better than just a blue spoiler and hood scoop. try maybe a custom blue down the center of the entire car (hood, roof, trunk and spoiler). i know it'd be more expensive but it could look nice. have u seen the wrx on forza motorsports for xbox? it is white and blue IIRC. looks nice. i'll see if i can find a pic...

wow this has been a interesting thread to say the least...personally i wanna see someone do a good photochop to see how it would look, i was actually thinking of just getting a CF STi scoop for my 05 WRB wrx and getting a Wingless CF trunk and black rims with silver lip, i thought it would look nice....but i would love to see a photochop to see what it would look like, Hope it turns out to be something you like :)

I hate to mention this because the game is the definition of rice, but in need for speed underground 2 they have an sti and you can choose any paint combos you want and change the spoiler, hood, mirrors, wheels, pretty much whatever. if you have access to the game you may want to check it out it would be a good rendition of what the paintjob may look like in real life.
