So... how many scars does your car have?
Heh... well? My car has about 15 or so rock chips from the previos owner, and the dealer I got it from did a horrible job touching up the spots (it was down to the steel). Ah well guess I'll have to figure out how I'm gonna fix the big scars... :D I'm posting this out of bordem...

My car is a 99 and up until today hasen't had a real door ding. I tend to park far away and walk. Got one today at work :mad: There aren't many people who could have done it. I think they are afraid to tell me they did it because everyone knows how I am with my car. I've called my local paintless dent removal guy on the way home and I'm gonna take it in tomorrow. He works wonders. It just Pi**es me off though. I'm always careful around other cars . This one caught me in the top right front wheel well arch so it must have been an SUV or PU truck.

Well.....since my car has been at the dealer for the past two weeks and I haven't received delivery of the car I can't really say.
Since I have to be on top of the dealer's ass to give me MY car I can't reallly say.
Since the dealer is full of incompetent people that can't get on the phone and call a bank to find out a pay off amount.....I get this response: "My finance office is working on it." Meanwhile I got on the phone and found it out in two minutes.
I don't understand....usually they should be on top of me....its the other way around for me.

I am going to make a formal complaint to SOA. I don't think thats going to help though. Nothing ever does until I get my car.

I have a small dent right by the left tail light. Got that doing a 360° off the Auto-X course on an airport runway. I bagged me a runway light:lol: :mad: :lol: I also seemed to scratch the very bottom of my bumper when I was going thru a deeply rutted and muddy area.

trillions of rock chips on my hood and rear-view mirrors.. oddly enough, none on my bumper. Two dings on each door from parking at my university loty, a very minor buckle on my driver side 1/4panel from rolling my fender lip, and the big doozy! the strip thingy underneath the rear passenger taillight is bent pretty hardcore and sticking out, one ding in my trunk lid above the R, the bumper is slightly hanging low on the passenger side and its scratched to all hell from going a$$-into a tirewall at the last track day. Oops!

Sep 28: picked up my car from the dealer.
Oct 02: some ar*hole try to push my car forward to make extra space to park his car. Left my rear bumper deformed.
Oct 06: another punk back his mini-van into my car, didn't leave any marks. But someone was sitting in the trunk, so when he was getting out, he rest his body weight right in the middle of my hood, leaving an indentation of about 6 inch across.
Oct 12: The bodyshop charges me $250 to fix the hood and still have scare left behind. when i look under the hood, haft the plastic tabs holding the underhood lining are missing, the other haft are lose.
[b]Bonus![/b] those ****** at the bodyshop put all the plastic tabs on one side of the hood, leaving the other side hanging just above the turbo.

One door ding on the front passenger's side, one small scratch behind the driver's side rear door, a scuff on the door guard on the driver's door, a small patch or rust on the top of the driver's side rear door, two small patches or rust right behind the driver's side corner, and the bottom of the front bumper is torn up. Lovely, eh?

DAMN 18-wheeler TIRES!!!! dammit... you know.. there ought to be a LAW where they will be fined for running on thin tires... about 2 months after i got my WRX, i was driving down the highway minding my own business and about 1/3 of a truck tire comes flying at me....

now my baby has a little scratch on the driver side:(
i swear we need a law about these damn trucks... i'm fine with sharing the road with them... but the fact they run on tires which are bald and ripping off the wheels is DANGEROUS

Pinch welds flattened out by sliding into a ditch, side skirt ripped of in the process, front end cheese grated by chain link fence in the snow, then months later cracked down by the fake air vent. tons of rock chips on glass, paint, you name it. headlight shattered, foglight impaled by a bolt on highway.uhhhh what else..............,oh yeah a door ding.

4500 MILES!!!! That's all I had when a semi passed me in Wyoming doing 95mph+ in a lane covered in gravel. It was winter and the last snow had just melted off the road. I had to have almost the entire car painted.
Hood (including vents and scoop) Fenders Bumper
Grill Doors Roof
right quarter (different truck, same day, other side)
mirrors
and all the glass on the front had to be replaced
headlights and signals turn signals in bumper
side markers fog lamps windshield
It was a mess and I almost cried. :(

Later in my trip (oregon 5800 miles), a chunk of dirt the size of a golf ball flew in the sunroof opening (from another truck) hit the headliner in front of the dome lamp and exploded all over my back seat.

And others who make a point to destroy another mans toy out of jealousy or stupidity. I keep a low deductible and lots of coverage for just those kind of people.

Scarred my right rear wheel while pulling into a grocery store parking lot. Swerved to avoid glass on the pavement and in the process, scraped the curb with the wheel. I've got a good chunk shaved off of the outer rim that goes about 1/8 the way around.
It's now on the front right, had to rotate a while ago.

None so far. Almost got a door ding today. Parking lot was pretty much empty. Some jackass in a rusted out Geo Prism parks right next to my car. Luckily I saw him as he pulled in. I started talking out loud about how empty the parking lot was, etc, etc. (included some loud profanities) He was extra careful getting out of his car.
I have no idea why people have to do that. There were empty spaces all over the place for god sakes!!! Sheesh! I need to go kick someone's ass.

Two days after i brought my new RS home a five gallon bucket sitting on a shelf in my garage fell and left a nice dent (not ding) in the upper part of my front left fender. Got it fixed but right after that some ass at work put a nasty ding in my front passenger side door. No paint chips yet though:)

I have a two foot long crease at the bottom of the driver's side door. It's so big it almost looks like a line that's supposed to be on the car. There's a few more dings here and there, no major dents yet. I got a ton of scratches on the paint, a few were put there by me. A word of advice: do not rest a 37 gallon tank on the trunk of your car, it will leave scratches. There's some faint marks where I tried to remove the sun baked pinstripes off the sides and a patch of blue paint that I think is from my GF tapping my car with hers. I can't be too pissed cause its a 6 year old car; I would be pissed if it was like a fairly new and much nicer car, like most of yours are.

I have had my 2001 RS sedan since Febuary . I have 9400 miles on it. I have a scratch on the passenger side from part of rear fender into the rear passenger door. I have a scuff mark on the front passenger door bottom quarter panel and I have a 3 or 4 paint scratches on my passenger side front bumper. the cheapest body shop price I could find to fix it was $850. Other shops wanted over $1300. I dont know how any of it happened. Stuff gets kicked up during normal driving. I have a small shallow dent on my passenger side front door. I love the car. It should have a little nicer paint from the factory.

Michigan winters don't help much, then again, neither does living in an area with more dirt roads than the Sahara Desert. Glare Ice, Snow, and Mud= Biffing into countless snow/dirt-banks, 1 tree, 1 mailbox, the occasional cone or trash can(just a little too wide on the power slide). Everyone likes to talk about scars, nobody likes a festering wound though. [/COLOR]

My front bumper looks like it's been sandblasted, with quite a few deep pits below the radiator :( Several scratches on the trunk lid from grocery bags, off all things! :D Not to mention some nasty scratches on my roof from my bike rack and bike (my bike has fallen over a couple times while trying to mount it:) ). And just this morning I saw a nice scuff with some scratches that looks like it came from a wheel off an SUV. I'll bet it's that freakin' monster truck I was parked next to at the gym last night. :mad: Stupid redneck. :monkey: He probably grazed it so lightly he didn't even notice it. I am toast when my lease is up. :eek:

I guess it is comforting to know that mine is not the only one that gets dinged up (despite my efforts).
I had my front left door banged in at a parking lot. Body guy at work banged most of it out but the metal is wrinkled. I have numerous bumper scars both front and back. Stone chips etc.
Oh, and my son (4years old) drove a shopping cart into the rear right door. He said that he was racing around like me. Oops!:lol:

I lost some paint chips at the front bumper and some small ones on the side molding..but my P1s have been through alot!:( tried to french kiss a curb..but luckily she behaved. :lol:

Bent front license plate from a tire at 60mph...
3 scratches total...
7 door dings... only 1 EXTREMELY noticable.

When my RS was one month old, I was following behind a full gravel dump truck on the highway when it hit a bump... next thing I knew I was piloting the Millenium Falcon through a meteor storm but the meteors got me and I've the stone chips on my hood/grill to prove it! :(
Then a year later my car got rear ended in a hit and run while I was parked in Montreal... bastards! :mad: Bumper's scuffed until I get it replaced.

Where to start, where to start...
-rear mudflaps snapped, front flaps scraped and bent
-rock chips on hood, too numerous to count
-front fascia scratched badly (thankfully it is the black plastic outback bumper so it barely shows the damage)
-chip in windshield directly in my line of sight (been there a year, hasn't spread)
- rear bumper sagging (poor subaru design with the mudflaps)
- rear passenger floorpan design permanently altered
- factory jacking lip crushed by jacking accident
- scratches along the sides of the car (deeper than swirlmarks) from branches on trails
- SWIRL MARKS EVERYWHERE FADED PAINT BAD PAINT BAD PAINT BAD PAINT
I think that's about it. Probably a few things on the interior are banged up a little too. I'm not a "gentle" installer. If it doesn't fit right the first time it had damn well better fit the second time because there isn't going to be a third time.

Seriously though, every inch theres something wrong with the paint... I need a whole paint job, especially since I dont care for this color anyway :p (can someone spot me a cool 2 grand?)
Oh, and I just noticed today some SUV/raised truck cliped my rear driver side panel :mad: Not much of a dent, but its there, and some paint is gone too... :monkey:

all fixed From INSURANCE.... HOW>>>>> pretended that all my dents and scratches were from hail and flying objects towards my car! all it put the insurance back was $5250!!!!!!!!
--Got a dent today from my mothers car... i backed up and my mirror just barely touched her car... and under my right mirror... there is a white spot about the size of a penny if not smaller... ill get this one fixed on monday after i buy touch up paint. tuesday i get my side moldings installed after autobody took them out so the can fix my car from hail story... and my wrx emblem needs to be replaced because autobody place had to take it off to repaint some of the car. but lookkkks really gooddd ... like brand new right now!

I love it when a utility truck kicks up a rock and puts a quarter sized chip in your windshield, or when yout drunken friend either opens your door into a curb, tree stump in the woods, or opens another door and hits your quarterpanel. The panels on our cars dent so easily. I think I am going to talk to one of those dent wizards. Everytime I wash my car I find the "new" ding or scratch.
Oh well I imagine Rally cars do not stay in the best shape either.
