Wow, the fogs comparison is interesting. My Prodrive lights, with the Philips VisionPlus bulbs, are as bright as the fogs! :eek:

Wait - so in those pics above, does "gjhsu" have the Silverstars for the fog light bulbs? Or does he have Silverstars in the low beams and then just stock fog light bulbs filling in the gap for a fuller light output on the ground?

Thats actually true. With any of these bulbs (Silverstar, Cool Blue, Hyper White, etc.) you're NOT getting more light you're just getting WHITER light. In fact you may actually be getting LESS light because there is a tint to the bulb glass. If its tinted (any color) you are filtering a %age of the light out. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. You're getting less light than with a clear bulb.
Of course I still use the Sylvainia Cool Blues cuz they look better :p I know if they look brighter or if I think they light up the road more its just an illusion.

I firmly believe that the spread of the Silverstars is also a fair bit wider than that of stock, and that it focuses more light directly in front of the car, so although the bulb itself does have a faint blue tint on it, you are getting more USEFUL light from them. Plus, they look cool :lol:

They allow you to seem more. It is a Cleaner light. You can see objects like,sings, Deer, people much quicker. It is more focused and does not fade out on the edges like the stock bulbs.
At least thats what I think.

What I noticed is aiming your headlights just right (I also made my fogs' pattern overlap my headlight pattern) does as much for visibility than the Silverstars do.
