Gotta hold off a little bit..after paying for the roof vent,cards,etc..I'm a little tight unless it was a great deal.
I still gotta get a bbk, strip the trunk and put in the spec C waterspray.
I haven't seen very many 05 sti cards in a 02..not sure If I ever have.

I found some fabric at a fabric store that was like the fabric on the STi's doors, and bought a yard for $6.00. Then I used a dremel to grind off the plastic rivets that hold the two halves of the door together. Next I peeled the cloth off of the top half. I cut a piece of the new fabric a little bigger than the area I needed to cover, and used spray adhesive for fabric to attatch it to the door panel. Start at the top and tuck it into the groove and work down to smooth it out. Once it was all smooth I trimmed off the excess fabric. Then I used superglue and to reattatch the plastic rivets.

Nice custom work.

I love working on my car, and I don't want anybody else working on it. I wouldn't feel right saying I built my car if I just payed someone else to do the work that I picked out. Anything I want done I learn to do myself. Paint, bodywork, port and polish, I even rebuilt my own transmission.

I guess you're asking me about the tint since my car is the only one tinted. It's 5%. It is illegal as hell in california, but I usually drive with my windows down tinted or not.[QUOTE=NewShockerGuy]I like your painted windshield wipers! How did you do that?

The whole reason I bought them was for the grip. I do a lot of hard driving in the canyons and off road so I wanted grip. They hold great! They are replicas of the BRIDE Brix II, but the foam is not quite as stiff. The only drawback I've found so far is that I have to move the seat back to get out of my car. This is only because my legs are short and the side bolsters are nice and high. I think it's a small price to pay. I got the set in Chinatown for $300.00.

What do you mean by rear door brackets? Are they the brackets where the armrest is, in the door? If not, where are these brackets attached to on the door frame? Also, how much bending of the tweeter bracket is needed? I may be purchasing a set of these 05 cards. I just deciding if it's worth the extra work. By the way...your car looks killer.

Yes,where the armrest goes..You just take your old ones off (two screws)
and put the 05 bracket in...The fronts you have to bend the tweeter bracket. Not much to it..You also have to bend the tab down where the screw in the 02 door panel goes..

Now when you say bend the bracket, do you mean bending w/ your hands, or is it so difficult you have to use a pry bar? I'm just trying to gauge how easy these brackets are to bend. Any fear of them breaking? Let me know. Thanks!

Well, I finally did it. Thanks to enewtabie for answering all my questions and starting this thread. I finally installed a set of 05 STI door panels in my 02 WRX wagon. I'm a little upset because the panels got some indentations and scratches from shipping. They were packed well, too. Oh well. For the tweeters, I ended up taking the brackets off and dremeling off one attachment point. I then bent the bracket towards the handle to make it fit correctly. They hold just fine w/ only one bolt. They're not heavy at all. Now if I could only get a hold of some JDM STI wagon rear seats.....

Hey enewtabie...do you think if we were to buy the metal front door brackets from an 05 STI, the front panels would be able to bolt down where the handle is? Just like you, I did bend down the tabs so the panels sit flush, but the holes don't line up. I just want a more secure fit. The rears fit like a glove because of the 05 STI brackets I did buy. I'm wondering if the same trick will work for the fronts. Let me know what you think. Thanks again!
