nice job, have you got any pics of the signals working yet?:D
Thanks. Here's an older photo when the LEDs weren't placed quite well inside the riser. Short video clip can be found on the first post in the following thread:

Note: Most LEDs (I know of) have a very narrow beam dispersion pattern, so aiming it properly is very important. I recently re-checked and found that when this photo was taken, the LEDs pointed upwards (towards the base of the oem spoiler). Also, note that these use 2 x 6 LEDs rated at 1400mCD each. Apparently, there's a brighter one rated at 7200mCD that draws about the same amount of current. That would make this mod significantly more effective.

If you take sandpaper to the acrylic sections... to "frost" them... they'll light up in a far more even pattern.

Great idea man but a bit more work than I had hoped. I will say this though that I would be willing to drop some dough to get a set made. They look realy nice and just right ride height cause the zero sports one is a bit high for me

Thanks. They are actually frosted on the outside surface, and in the inside surface that "receives" the light from the LEDs. The rest of the clear acrylic surface is finished with a mirror-like surface to reflect as much stray light to the outside surface.

Thanks. I can't say that this was a simple DIY.

You're welcome to find a fabricator and show this thread as a baseline idea :)
If price is no object, then I'm sure there's a fabricator that's willing to do it, probably even nicer.

Well, you could get the zerosports / replica and cut them to a suitable height. The problem will be fabricating the new top/bottom after cutting them. Of course, there's always the nice STi Limited riser.

Thanks, but I'd have to quit my day job to make these.
Imho, the STi Limited (bugeye model) riser looks best:

009-483-009
Costs almost US$800, and probably very hard to find. You could try though.

Read the thread dates and the posts above your own before resurrecting them and complaining about lack of pictures!
