Everyone except Gronholm went over the bridge first time through (including Loeb) it was in the notes apparently. I have no idea why they changed it but if I was to guess, I would say it was for safety reasons. The bridge was narrow, rough and caused the cars to catch air, there was no guardrails so if a car went off it would go into a very nasty rock creek (the big rocks are just out of frame in my photos) and perhaps into the crowd (that was standing on the rocks)

Well that is certainly a big possibility Jamie, when ever a car went the alternate route through the water splash, the crowd went crazy. But that place was crawling with marshals and Police so.....
In the morning there was a piece of banner tape going across, which the first car went through, in the in-car video from Sebs car I saw of the second run through there was a much more elaborate "fence" up, so not sure where the speccies could have found that.

Additionally, there was not much water in the water splash, so hardly worth the effort

Yes, and in the last 4+ issues too. This month I have a shot on the cover ( someone screwed up the credit :mad: ) and three stories inside (Mosler, SUV comparo, and Diesel Beaters). A bunch coming up too, been doing a lot of work for them. Great fun!

Wagonmonster has helped out on a couple of them too (We went pimping in the Bentley Flying Spur!)

Actually, I consider these shots not to be up to my normal standards, did not look for cool locations, so I only went to the spectator areas this year. I was on vacation after all. Not to mention Vinnie kept getting us lost :lol:

Speaking of lost..I got us lost 200 feet out of the rental car place in Mexico City. "That sign says return to airport...turn left here. Follow the taxis. Oh, crap...the taxis are scattering...go left...ummm, watch out for the truck stopped in the middle of the road...Stop here and see if you can figure it out...What is that guy yelling about...GO, just GO!..."

I was pretty sure we were never going to see the rally.

Other than having to flag down an Avis bus to get us to National Car Rental, because both counters inside the airport were empty, getting lost trying to leave the airport, and the crazy traffic...it wasn't that bad.

Of course, we both agreed that if we had were going to do it again, we'd just fly into Leon.
