um i only read the first page of comments and didn't read anyone giving you a strait answer about the flame kit...its pretty easy actually...and can be done on any car...all you need is a spark plug, fuel injector (volkswagon injectors work best, cause of their spray pattern), wire to hook up to the plug and a switch, and hose to tap into ur fuel system then to a switch...basicly all you do is drill into ur tail pipe near the end so u dont blow up ur exhaust, screw in the plug and injector on opposite sides of each other...once installed u hit the spark plug switch then the fuel switch, the exhaust of ur car will push the flames out, and ther u have flames out the exhaust... :)

Now i know what to do with old injectors once i upgrade....
Put two on each side with some exhaust cut outs...

Well I guess once you get it installed you wont have to shovel the driveway when it snows.. Just fire up the flames and melt it away.
you should use a switch instead of a button and shoot flames everytime you drive..just one constant flame al the time. and then you should tell you laptop to shut up while your floor board falls out creating massive sparks and then you blow the welds on the intake :p
damn, i didn't think you were serious about getting it when u e-mailed me the kit lol. Can't wait to see it when i get back out there.
As for "haters" out there, its his car. He knows what he's doing, he knows it won't add any power, he knows there are risks or that he could get in trouble for it. After reading this thread, must of the so called criticism is just calling him a ricer. He knows it might not be the most "performance oriented" mod, but hey, its his car and he wants to have fun. I don't think there is anybody that hasn't done something illogical in their life. So just leave it at that....

Thanks Matt. I can't wait to get this thing in. The kit for reference is the one found here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4570003961&fromMakeTrack=true
I want to install this thing so bad! I am having a hard time deciding if I should drill a hole in my stock muffler though. I wish someone else could be the guinea pig on this one.

Update: This bad boy will be on sometime next week. I'm drilling a hole right before the muffler tip on my stock muffler ('05 single outlet). There will be lots of pics. I might even make smores if all goes well!

cant wait- keep us posted. still wanting my kit

Update: Began the install but stopped due to one very important reason. The way these kits work is that they interupt your ignition to let the fuel go unburned and through the exhaust, the spark plug in your exhaust then lights the unburnt fuel. BUT, with the distributorless ignition, I don't think I can interupt the circuit. I could interupt the circuit but I would have to turn the car off and then back on again after each time I use the kit so the ignition system could reset itself. I'm going to try to install just the plug and coil and see if I can get some flame without dumping gas. I think this might work because I'm catless. I'm so pissed that I don't have flames right now!

Actually...If you read Autoloc's kit, you can go to the ECU and relay a wire for one of the coilpacks... I've seen it done. Its made to work by cutting ignition to a cylinder and allow that unburned fuel to dump into the exhaust which then the spark plug in the rear ignites that fuel.. Im convinces that if you are catless and you still want these flamethrowers, you can just add the sparkplug and push button and you wil ignite whatever unburned fuel that is there.... thats just my opinion

dont buy a flame in a can kit go catless with a good tune and bababoooom flames

This kit that I have is exactly like Autoloc's. The way the instructions read is that it cuts spark in all cylinders thus dumping fuel and is ignited by the provided spark plug and new coil in the trunk. I'm a little hesitant to splice an individual wire from ECU and cut spark in only one cylinder. I think that it would work but as much as I want flames, its not worth engine damage. I'm gunna go with your idea of just installing the spark plug and coil and try to get a flame that way. I am already fully catless and am running really stinky so I think i should get flames. I will let you know.
