Toby's got the 2.8. The car I drove in SD was the only E36 BMW with the 2.5L.

I don't think the BMWs will be moved to BSP anytime soon. There are too many established people running them in DSP right now to take that car and move it to a class where it may no longer be competitive. I think it would take a major shakeup of the SP classes, which may not be such a bad idea. But it's not going to happen this year.

'94 325is came stock with a 2.5. At that time, BMW's model number indicated the displacement.

Agreed. With all the "big names" in DSP, a doubt anything will happen. However, I still intend to send the letter w/supporting data.

Jay - What DSP list are you speaking of? I'm not familiar with it.

eh, there might be some interesting ud/bd options with the M3.

it will be interesting to see how they do compared to BSP at Nats.

Anyway, Steve, don't dawdle on writing the letter. a classing change proposal for 06 needs to be published fairly soon (i forget which month exactly). I think you have enough evidence to have the SEB take a look at it and react to member feedback and Nats results.
