If you were to paint your subie, would you keep it the same color? part 2

A kind of pearlescent, where the primary color was WR Blue, but the farther out you go the darker it would get.

Or just graphite :)
Def. some JDM color.
Feather white, Steel blue mica (Impreza P1), or that sexy old school STI yellow.

I did have someone ask me once if I had my car repainted a different color. But it was just really really clean and the guy didn't know much about Subaru's.
Impreza P1 was WRB, the RB5 was Steel Blue Mica :D

Feather white, Steel blue mica (Impreza P1),
As someone has already pointed out, the SBM was for the RB5. And they didn't sell the RB5 in Japan...
i dont know how many of you guys are in ohio, but i do paint and bodywork, and i would do a full repaint on a WRX for $2500 including materials... just an option for you guys wanting a nice custom job...
That's not bad. By "full" do you mean FULL? Including the interior, under the dash, and inside the engine bay?
glepko 12-10-2007 01:21 PM

man, tough call, i need to respray the front of my psm 02. i'd love to have a blaze yellow wrx, but can't justify the cost of doing it right with a repaint so i'll stay psm.

honda championship white

with audi nimbus grey having potential

If I had a wagon that was heavily modified enough to make it seem okay, I'd go for this color in a heartbeat.

I might be a tasteless freak, but I love it.

You know what just hit me, British Racing Green looks terrific on almost any car. You also never see green rexes...

Fine, it may be a bit odd to put the "British" color on a Japanese car, but sue me, it's an awesome color :p

I would cause I don't want to have to pull the motor out and all that stuff.
mistaanime 12-10-2007 04:22 PM

Mine is WRB...i would do Sti black or Something Dark Blue..too many WRB subby's around.
sjrexwagon02 12-10-2007 04:28 PM

My car is Sedona Red Pearl and i havent seen too many SRP cars running around my way at least so yes id do SRP again i love the color and the pearl coat looks amazing after a fresh Clay/Wash/Wax session
ozdewiz 12-11-2007 01:18 AM

I had mine repainted WR Blue...
But had more than 200 grams of red metalflake added...
Looks purple in shade & dark blue in sunlight...
With a red sparkle

short answer: full repaint? no. less than half the car? yes. somewhere inbetween? probably just do a full repaint so yes.

Looks great. Nice car too. I may try something similar when it comes time to respray mine. I don't want to fully change color, but adding a bunch of flake to the same color paint (WRB in my case too) is close enough to get away with an exterior spray and not worry about inside the engine bay.
