I haven't hooked up the city lights... I leave my headlamps on all the time, so it would defeat the purpose ;). The washers will end up being workable with the headlamps (I think... if not, I don't know what to do :(). As for the turbo? It's sitting in the garage, along with the exhaust- I have a source for the headers/uppipe, and all I need is one of you WRX guys to look the other way for 10 minutes while I grab your IC, and I'll be golden :D.

I think you should replace your fog covers with the carbon-fiber-like ones that McDade is selling in the private classifieds; they would complement your color scheme nicely:

It's funny you mention those covers... I have a set, but even with modifying them a WHOLE bunch, they still aren't fitting. I haven't given up yet though :). As for brightness, they are VERY bright, even now with only 55/60 bulbs in the H4 and I believe 55's in the H2. I had one person high beam me tonight... he was very, very sorry ;). It's hard to show with a photo how bright they are, but I had to turn down the exposure on the digital camera to it's lowest sensitivity to take this:

They are so bright that you cannot even see the light from the grill badge with the highs on, that you can see here:

hey brian did you use the original H4 bulb for lows and highs plus add an H2 for extra high beams in the second lense?? or do you have low and high beams in two seperate bulbs???

The Morette's have an H4 with high/low in the main, outside assembly, and another H2 that goes on when you hit the highs in the smaller inboard assembly. EVIL amounts of light ;).

The Morette's have a relay that is wired into the stock harness... when it detects the voltage for turning on the highs, it sets off the second set of H2 bulbs. These are wired straight to the battery and have their own fuse, so no dimming of the primary H4 bulb ;). I put up the install page URL at the top, but just for completeness's sake it's:

Those lights look great on your car. If I put those on my car I'd get highbeam flashed all the time,(I usually get flashed two - three times per night when driving) Oh well they aren't happy when I flash back as I laugh to myself.:lol:

Integra? **SMACK** :). The clear fog covers came from a group buy, and were about $70 shipped. Why on Earth would you prefer reflector over projector ;)? Ed, uh, the check's in the mail :D. Auricom, you lost me... what brochure was that again...? Think I covered most of it.. :).

Hey brian try slappin some HIDs in those puppies, and youll see how bright they really are, my friend Pat (pinochle on the board) has morrettes with hids, sweeeeeet amount of light, friggin bright, he also has driving ligths when everything is on its like day light...Ill post video of them all on if I can...

here you go, this me taping in pats car...you can get a feel for the hids as it gets darker out, and he flips the high beams at one point..

its not the greatest example...but its a great video! :D I have better just not on available at the moment.

Stephen I would imagine peeps would want to take them on and off, at will to clean, I know water gets behind mine in the car wash and I have to take them off to "de-fog" them..., some padded weither strip might work...

Heres a picture of mine on at night, it shows the city lights, lowbeams with my fogs, and high beams with my Hella 500 driving lights. I think I'm just going to sell my cover than modify them, anyone want them, I painted them black on the back side to give them that blacked out look, $50 shipped. Enough of that though heres the pic.

Capt.? I have not installed my Morrettes yet. But, does the high beams in the H4 go on (switch) with the H2 bulbs when using your highs? I might have a problem with that as of right now, I have HID's for lows and they go off when I flick my high beams on. Do you know how to bypass that relay so I can just have the H2's go on while retaining my lows at the same time? Thanks.:D

The H4 bulbs, outside ones, just plug right in with the stock harness it is the H2, inside ones, that use the relay that taps into the stock harness. YOu should have no problem when hooking them up, but I don't know about how to keep the low beem on when highs are on though.

TaiChih, at what point does the HID ballast and wiring diverge from the stock wiring? Depending upon the kit, I thought the stock harness plugged into the ballast, and then the ballast had the bulb holder and whatnot. If that is the case (or even if it isn't) just backtrack along the wiring to someplace between the headlight relay and the HID and tap in the gray and blue vampire taps there... shouldn't be a problem I would think.

It should be pretty much identical to the RS mods I have on my site, but you'll just have to adapt it for where you tap into for the running light power source. I dont' have a WRX or I'd gladly take apart the headlight area and let you know ;).

Brian, you are correct. the H4 socket goes to the ballast. BUT, as I don't have high's anymore, whenever I hit the stalk to flash the high's, my HID's cut out. So, I am left to conclude that a relay tripsthe circuit from the lowbeam filament to the high beam filament in a normal H4 bulb. I gotta locate that relay to bypass it for my HID's to work with the high's at the same time.

Reset, I'd love to see the grill badge! As for the headlight covers, I thought the answer was Dremel. The answer revolves around Dremel and heat ;). Still working on it... I do have a day job you know ;) :D :lol:.
