Yes i know my DS headligh is out, someting is up with it and i cant figure it out, and it isnt a bulb :tdown:

Please keep flaming to a minimum, although all constructive criticism is welcome as well as compliments. (obviously)

I posted this on here just to share it with you guys cause i am really excited about it.

Looking good, I would clear the headlights ASAP though.

What front bumper/lip is that?

Is that hood custom?

Thanks man.

The bumper is the stock STi bumper with the Cusco lip.

The hood is a varis CF hood, but custom painted to leave the louvers CF and the rest gold.

The Cusco lip is my favorite for the 04-05. I also like seeing Subies other than the usual stock colors.

that is the most disgusting thing i have ever seen. that made me cream my pants... nice look, very jdm street monster looking. i agree with the other people, a blacked out headlight or at least one without the amber may look better with the rest of the car.

I like the Gold paint alot, very unique.

I'm not feeling the unpainted hood vents too much, I think it would like it better if the cf was painted gold and the mesh grill was painted black. I think if you just painted the mesh grill black it would look 100x better.

Clear/black housing headlights would look REAL good.

The gold front emblem is a little bit overkill, looks way better removed or if you used a black emblem.

+1 on removing the vinyl, i think it's the right way to go.

But a very nice unique looking subaru you have there. Congrats

The orang reflectors seem to be out of place and don't compliment the gold, other than that, great job.

too much gold in front for the black vents to flow smoothly. I would paint at least the grill middle support black to blend in. Personally, I would do the fmic black too, clear and paint the headlights, maybe even the whole grill. looks good.

well i have a CF trunk and sides to balance it out imo. If i could do the FMIC black i would, but i dont wanna paint it, and to buy an ew core is not worth it imo.

Thanks alot man, i think i am gonna do a CF pillarless grill or just a pillarless stock grill eventually.

Vinyl will be gone in the future.

Nice, I really like the hood. How the scoop blends into the rest of the hood. Very nice.

Lots of stickers but still doesn't look over done. I'd take it

Just looking at the hoodscoop shots. I agree

I think when you see it from the side or angle. The dark stripe along the bottom pulls it all together

Thanks, i also like the hood and i love that its not a stock sti size scoop and is all one peice.

as far as the vinyl, i kind of like it. the black on the sides matches the hood vents and sideskirts. i'd keep everything on as it is, looks great. the only thing i'd add would be fog light covers, but looks like your going the opposite way. don't see how any of the fog lights would match the gold.

looks great IMO!!! the JDM fogs will def complete the look... i'd say rock the clear then rockblocker them with some smoke and they would match the rest of the car

To each his own, the varis lip was too aggresive i think and a lil ricey imo. I like this one a lot better. Plus i got a new lip cause the old one got messed up.

Love the gold. I am one who personally thinks that the "louvres"(sp?) but I think that the mesh should be black to set that whole area up. Too much color change in that area.

I'm not a huge fan of the lip, I have the chargespeed, but it's growing on me.

I also agreen with STi-JDM that you need a wing of sorts on there. I like the "winged, mean, bat-out-of-hell" look that wings give very tastefully modded cars.

Overall impression?....

The mesh is black that are below the louvers, but it has gold inserts to stop the snow and rain we have been getting lately from getting into the engine bay. I am considering an APR wing, it should look nice, but probably not for a little while.

The black and gold compliment each other....but something about the black on the hood vents just doesn't look right. It makes it look like they were cheap add ons, and I doubt that is what you are trying to do. I think they'd look better in gold, with the mesh below it black. That would give you the black accent on the hood.
You could also add some black in front of the center scoop (where the hood is depressed)if you think more black is necessary, but I'd think that would be overkill.

In my opinion, don't put a wing on the back unless it is very understated. You have a lot going on with the car and wing would make a little too busy.

The louvers are CF and in person they look very nice IMO. I also see where you are coming from though with the wing.

If you paint the lip / bottom portion of the front bumper black, and got a splitter it would look sooooo SWEEET and match the sides and vinyl also.. looks great as it is tho!

It still has the gold emblem, the first pics are from when i get her bck right away and i had forgotten to put the grill back in. Right now i am running with the grill and gold emblem :)

+1 for clearing out the headlights
+1 for removing gold stars emblem, i would do the pink to match the only pink u have "sti" in the front, otherwise ditch it all like u said ;]
personally if u wanted to keep the carbon fiber look, i would've not done the vents and maybe the center vent instead...or perhaps paint all the vents and leave the hood CF? the 1st thing that caught my eye as something i would change would definitely be the cf vents...but hey, whatever floats ur boat homeslice...we all have our own tastes and more power to you with an overall sick sti...just little things here and there that i would change...the cleaner looking the better, especially with the lip...its not outrageous like fast and the furious but still has an aggressive look...good luck on the future upgrading and dont kill urself when racing someone in ur 500+ hp sti ;] also, if u want the cf to be brought out a little...maybe you could black out the headlights? my buddy has a supra with black headlights and a cf hood, looks sick...here, check out my civic turbo that i used to have...black headlamps with cf hood just to give you an idea of black on black, also my fog covers were black...cant c it too well but i think it justifies the type of idea im trying to give you

i like the color but i would add a few other carbon accents.

carbon fiber emblem for the grill
some carbon fiber on the lip to help match with the side skirts and hood.

as for the decals, the black strip and bulletproof should come off, but i dont mind the roll call strip.

fog lights are going to be nice and like everyone else has stated, bake the lights.

Thanks for the input, it is appreciated. nice clean civic. When i bake the headlights it will def be painted black / retrofitted. but that will be in the upcoming months.

I feel yah on the grill, but there is no way for me to get CF ont e lip unless i had it wrapped (made $$$) or stickers :tdown:

thanks alot man, but i think the stock scoop is too big when you dont have a fmic.

there are just so many combinations of parts its hard to make everyone happy :p

Ah, i am not sponsered by anyone right now. Sponsers are a pain in the ass imo and you have to be their bitch to get what you want. The car might have been sponsered when it was out in cali where BP is, and iam pretty sure the varis kit was sourced through them.

i took a second look and didn't realize the first time that the hood is quite interesting and does look good. and i definately agree that the sti hood scoop is way to big and would be meaningless for you to have. what about a reverse cowl scoop? that might look good too.

Yah, i wanted to be a little different and have seen almost no cars with taht type of paintjob on the hood. I was thinking about a CF reverse scoop, but taht would require me to buy a whole new hood because this hood is all one peice. so the scoop is molded and part of the hood.
