Well, I do carry plenty of sharp objects, including pocket knives having off my pockets. No trouble so far. :disco:

I finally installed mine. :D No pics since I don't have a digital camera yet, but I think it looks pretty sharp.

One warning to anyone who gets the back seat set: you will need to remove the rear seat bottom to install the covers. Just remove the 2 bolts in the front and the whole thing comes out pretty easily.

I would have a sedan back set if SOMEONE would give them a car to pattern.

did you have a hard time stuffing the front ones between the bolster and side plastic?
Mike Wevrick 03-04-2003 05:50 PM

Yes; I just pushed the bolster in really hard. Finding a place to feed the strap through was not easy either.
Skyline 03-04-2003 10:27 PM

How long did it take you to install? It took me 2 hours to do the fronts only... with a slight headache too. :p
Mike Wevrick 03-04-2003 10:45 PM

2 hours! How did you spend 2 hours doing just the fronts? I think the whole set took me a little over an hour.

Not to rub it in, but it took less than 20 minutes to install mine...for the Wet Okole guys to install them for me that is :D

Did I mention the headache? :p
Acadian 03-05-2003 10:14 PM

Okay I figured out why I had such a hard time fitting the side of my covers between the bolster and plastic!! I had the seat lowered to the floor. Simply had to lift it up a bit with the side handle and voila! :disco:

I went on my first long drive with the covers Saturday and so far I really like them. The padding makes the seats a little more comfortable without reducing their support. :)
Acadian 03-11-2003 10:31 PM

okay....better late than never. Just took those quickly...colors are a tad off, but it give you an idea of the Royal Blue covers. The black head rests where optional! Sorry it took sooooooo long!

Question about the side airbags.. I know that ther's a cutout in the seat cover for the side airbags. But seat covers go over regular WRX seat fabric right? so when the WRX seat fabric tears, even if the wet okole cover isnt' covering the airbag, it can still obstruct the OEM fabric from tearing properly. is this a valid concern?

I could be wrong, but I believe the entire airbad shoots out the pre-made hole before expanding...if not I would hope that they make the hole big enough...or at least pre-score the material on the inside...
