All c/f!!!!!  I need to go change my shorts. I'll now put that kit on the list of things I will never be able to get, along with Jessica Alba.
jam69007 08-01-2006 10:13 PM

fastor1 08-01-2006 10:14 PM

Jizz In Pants!!! Ahhh
06steyebharris 08-01-2006 10:14 PM

-auSTIn- 08-01-2006 10:24 PM

That looks awesome
Gunnars STI 08-01-2006 10:26 PM

I don't like the whole kit. I like the spoiler and the roof scoop.
jason2004STI 08-01-2006 10:29 PM
eh it's kinda lame. it looks like from the passenger doors back it's glued on. i dont like it.
Love the front, but I'd have to agree, the rear 1/4 panels look kinda cheesy, would have been better to make the whole panel CF, instead of Lee's Press-on..

Still Wide-Body rules :)

Peace
Jason

EDIT: I think it was gruppe-s.com or other, but someone out there already makes CF doors for impreza's
Chi_San 08-01-2006 10:36 PM

I wouldn't ever put that monstrosity on any car I owned. o.O If they actually replaced the panels and body bits, I might consider it, but fixing it to the outside of existing parts... Psh.

Widebody looks good, but that doesn't, it's just too busy.
shikataganai 08-01-2006 10:38 PM

if the wheelwells are the same size what's the point? i also have to say that black and blue looks like ass.
Chp_Stix 08-01-2006 10:43 PM

sha damn.. now in fiberglass so I dont feel bad painting it to match my car
Chi_San 08-01-2006 11:00 PM
if the wheelwells are the same size what's the point? i also have to say that black and blue looks like ass.
Um, the new panels would have larger wheel wells, that would be the point of a widebody kit, no?

Instead of glueing panels on, i want to replace them. All of them. With lightweight carbon fiber. but that's just too expensive... If I was going to put a kit on a car, I'd want it to look nicer than stock, as in, smoother, better flowing lines.

Ah well, some day I'll be rich and be able to afford a really nice car, I want an STi and a Porsche...
subie freak 08-01-2006 11:15 PM

One hot looking car!
shikataganai 08-01-2006 11:24 PM
Um, the new panels would have larger wheel wells, that would be the point of a widebody kit, no?
so they're like fender flares on jeeps, where you cut out the original metal fender after gluing the new piece on?
OnlyInAJeep24 08-01-2006 11:25 PM

Ive allready started putting my change in my coin jar..
bigworm 08-02-2006 12:53 AM
And those wheels.....
yeappp
STi-MAN 08-02-2006 02:25 AM

i love it i really need that rear quarter panel.
jpay801 08-02-2006 03:28 AM

I am glad people are being honest.
1. Yea, all carbon fiber is sweet.
2. It looks like a ricer body kit, In my opinion.

Overall to much jazz and attention. I don't like it.
ScrewCityChris 08-02-2006 03:39 AM

I think I like the non-widebody Burn-Up kit more. This kit would look much better molded, and painted. Sure widebodys are cool and everything, but they also tend to look a bit awkward in the rear 3/4 of the car.
subymanny04 08-02-2006 03:39 AM

I want those wheels. Theyre Hotter than sekz w/ jessica alba! Haha well maybe not thattt hot haha but still smokin hotttttt
gimmewar 08-02-2006 03:44 AM

yea those rears look amazing, the whole car is a work of art.. /me needs immediately!

Mike
AlbaScoob 08-02-2006 07:48 AM

they do a much better job than the Burn Up lot
step down 08-02-2006 08:04 AM

that car looks pissed
STiShawn 08-02-2006 08:13 AM

According to my latest Options Impreza magazine, the wheels are from a BMW. They also show the ar with a painted kit and it looks very nice.

Someone asked about a bugeye kit, I'm pretty sure L'aunsport and or Burnup sell a bug eye kit.
Vlad 08-02-2006 08:35 AM

So BMW wheels have the same bolt circle with the Sti?
kogs 08-02-2006 11:43 AM

The back kinda looks weird to me. Almost like the fender flares are too low, or like it needs to blend in better. The gas tank and rear doors make it look out of place IMO.
STiShawn 08-02-2006 11:49 AM

I can try to scan it, if anyone can read japanese you can decipher the rest
Cusson 08-02-2006 12:13 PM

that really makes the 06 look awsome! forged bbs wheels look great with it too!
03blkwrx 08-02-2006 12:14 PM

i never liked the 06 front, but seeing that it turned out VERY well.. i love it!!

looks like it can kick my ass! haha
captain spaulding 08-02-2006 12:52 PM
So BMW wheels have the same bolt circle with the Sti?
nope bmw's are 5x120, they probably redrilled the 5x120s to 5x114.3, don't think it'd be that hard.. I doubt he's running wheel adapters, bmw wheels are usually superlow offsets, and adpaters would just push them out further (yes yes it is a widebody kit, but still they look pretty damn wide, the wheels that is)

edit: upon further inspection they might be adapters..
blacktalon606 08-02-2006 01:04 PM

Wow... that is some kinda ugly. lol
Thumper23 08-02-2006 01:18 PM

Still not a fan of the press on rear panels.

But still, in all CF, that is gonna cost a fortune.
eviltuna7 08-02-2006 01:57 PM

i will take the cf roof thank you very much
caesar 08-02-2006 03:52 PM

Kit looks amazing!!!
Chi_San 08-04-2006 10:24 PM
if the wheelwells are the same size what's the point? i also have to say that black and blue looks like ass.
Let me get this straight... You have to cut the stock fender, then remove it, then put a totally new, aftermarket, widebody fender on? Why would you have to ****ing cut it?! I want a kit that is glue free. Take original panels off, put new panels on.

With my glue skillz, I'd glue the panels on and the right side would be like 3 inches off from the left side or something dumb like that. And with glue, what happens if you leave your car out in the sun and it's 115 degrees out for like 2 weeks? Does the glue melt, and wreck the finish on your stock panels? o.O Glue sounds like a bad idea...
wil69 08-04-2006 10:40 PM

oh my jeebus that thing is so sweet.

 They are talking about cutting the rear quarter panel, not the front fenders. You say you want a kit that is glue free, but yet you don't understand why you would have to cut the body up. You can't just unbolt the rear quarter panel.

For everyone complaining about the rear "glue-on" panels, what do you think a replacement carbon-fiber quarter panel is going to do to the integrity of the car?
eh it's kinda lame. it looks like from the passenger doors back it's glued on. i dont like it.
Agreed and yeah.
It looks like a HS autoshop project, from the projects.

jason.g 08-04-2006 10:45 PM

:/

meh..

too much going on, none of which is style.
pdxsilverwrx 08-04-2006 10:48 PM

That would look hot on a OBP car. Hey I happen to have a OBP car ;)
nightia 08-04-2006 11:39 PM

Its different, although I wouldnt be seen dead driving it on the street. If you color match the carbon fiber panels with the rest of the car and it'll look decent. Im not feeling the rims. They look over inflated and the camber would probably play havoc with tire wear. Those rims look like they could be easily kerbed as well.

Take a closer look at the rear quarter. Any one has at a guess to how the fuel filler cap would open; I find it hard to imagine thats on a hinge.
chris-man 08-04-2006 11:55 PM

 wow
desmo750 08-05-2006 12:04 AM

Lame rice
Any one has at a guess to how the fuel filler cap would open; I find it hard to imagine thats on a hinge.
It must either be on a hinge or the widebody part of it somehow pops off. Im sure L'unsport fills there car with gas from time to time. If not, you can have the bodyshop rig something up so that it hinges down first once you pop the fill cap.
homer227 08-05-2006 12:16 AM

That thing is amazing!
veightkiller 08-05-2006 12:48 AM

holy smoke that thing is awesome!
tw1zt1d 08-05-2006 03:15 AM

jetfan8178 08-05-2006 01:42 PM

LOL, Its gonna be like 8000 for that kit...

No thanks.

Thats alot of money to spend to look like the typical ricer show car...
