Congratulations on the great finish! I can't wait until I have a chance to do this in the next few years. Your updates were great and give me a good idea of what to expect.

Thats the 1108 Compound (AFAIK)
They are a GREAT damn pad. They lasted being beat to crap on the stock brakes with more HP then stock. I ran a full test day including almost an hour of hotlapping at CMP (one of the hardest east coast tracks on brakes), then about 5-6K street miles, and about 50 hot 10/10ths laps on track with these pads without one single ounce of fade.
We switched to new XP pads at lunch at CMP and did not have time to fully bed them in before the afternoon at CMP and that was our issue in turn 8. They were right back to kicking butt at BeaverRun the next day. We used up a bit of fluid and if I was doing this again, we would start on a new rather then used set of brake pads and use either Motul 600 or flush the ATF halfway through the event.
Just to emphasize this point again. The car is on STOCK brakes other then stainless lines and the Carbotech Panther XP pads.

Really great updates on your Adventure Tom!
Especially like the "What I learned from One Lap"!
How long were your track sessions on average at the One Lap?
Are those Carbotechs street friendly or mostly a track oriented pad?
How long were your track sessions on average at the One Lap?
They were usually 1 warmup, which was really a hotlap, and 3 hotlaps. Some of them were 1 warmup and 4 hotlaps though. One session like this in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.
The Panther XP is their most track oriented compound and not really recommended for the street. You can drive it to the track, but they are loud and dusty as hell. The Panther Plus is a very agressive street/driver ed compound and the Bobcat is the street/autox compound.

For mods, check out http://www.boxer4racing.com
Costs:
Entry Fee: $2100
Gas: ~$800
Car Prep: ~$500
Food & Hotel: ~$700
Misc: ~$200
So we are at ~$4000 so far. That includes a car that already had all the mods you needed and does not include anything you break, such as a tranny :)
Sponsors are good mmkay!

So I found out this past weekend that I also bent the rear drivers side lateral links on the car. I guess I didnt notice it before, but that wheel has around 0.5 degrees positive camber
I guess those 2 wheels off at BeaveRun did hurt a tad.
Tack on another $200 to the bill
