wow, you guys ok? i think you guys where starting just ahead of me at missouri... that car was/is awesome!
digitalpimp 04-27-2005 11:03 PM

yeah we were at 100aw, the driver and codriver didn't receive so much as a scratch, and it seems like the car won't be hard to repair at all considering how bad it looks.
Subie Gal 04-27-2005 11:29 PM

sorry to anyone but I saw the video of digital pimp's crash (yes, its on video) and a triple roll, followed by a double endow, all off of a cliff,
Subie Gal 04-27-2005 11:46 PM

oh damn that sucks.... triple roll.... cliff... barf bag!!!

hey pat... sorry things didnt go well for you at OTR
get out there and get em in the next round.....!!

i wasn't driving, i crew for them and cpd. the car is in amazing shape for what it went through. finton said the tow truck driver used over 70FT of cable to get to the car, as pat said, DOWN the hill. i don't think the driver or co driver saw the video, but i know it was going to be sent to them. and from what i heard the video still missed the very end of the crash.

oh well, time to bust out the spot weld bit for the drill

Yeah, that crash was crazy. When we drove up onto the scene on our transit out, we thought for sure the driver and co-driver were critcally injured. It was in an extremely steep, wooded ravine and the car was basically laying on a huge clump of alder trees! The only visible injury I saw was a small gash that was lightly bleeding on the side of the driver's (?) head. the co-driver was drinking a beer, so I assumed he was doing pretty well at that point.

The pictures are dark and very dissapointing as they don't show how steep and how far down the car really was.

On the plus side, they were clicking along quite nicely just a few miles back up the stage.

I think the 600 car started right before us as we headed out after the first service the first day at 100aw. That is a very impressive car. Good luck getting it all fixed up again.

Who's car is this? I was driving down to portland thursday night and I saw it being trailered, gave the driver of the truck a wave. Just wanted to say hi.
