Go Subaru!!! I don't watch a whole lot of racing but that was nonstop excitement, the commentators couldn't stop talking about the Subies' AWD and turbos as they mopped the floor with the rest of the pack. BMW and Nissan made a really strong showing, though, good on 'em.

T2 class always kicks hard core ass...the run-offs always rock even harder. This one was absolutely no exception. :)
I enjoy seeing cars in an affordable price range with minimal stuff done to them competeing all out.
Ps:i am a closet 350z fan.

Great race, not as exciting as last year's though :p
I'll been watching the runoffs, and Speed really need to get some better camera angles for this track next year.

Boo :) JK The Subie team has the complete package; great car, great crew, great Factory backing, great big Budget, and 3 great "Pro" drivers. I take my hat off to them and hope to be closer to them next year. They are also pretty fun to hang out with. It was nice of them to show me battling it out with the M3 as much as they did. :)

First off, thank you so much for posting that video intence. You are the man. :)
Secondy, why the foxtrot do the foxtroting announcers keep talking about Subaru like it will be on rails no matter what the driving surface is like? IIRC, I saw atleast one other EVO in the mix that is also equipped with full time AWD. Does that car not get an advantage as well?
Thirdly, good job all those involved with Subaru. I'm glad to see a Ru at the front of the pack where it belongs.

I dont think that guy realized that the Evo has AWD, especially from his comment regarding me putting dirt on the track (not on purpose of course ) and how Id have to deal with it next time around. I also don't think he realizes that both the 350z and the M3s out handle the awd cars as well.

I watched it again :) Is Mr Turner the ultimate gentleman driver? The announcers were kind of chiding him a little for not sticking his bumper in to force something at the end. It was really refreshing not see something like that :)

T2 EVO, that was a great save. I can't imagine how much "crap-crap-crap-crap-crap" must have been running through your head after getting bumped. Maybe speed should hire some of the people from the enthusiast community for these events? Someone that knows a little bit about production cars, maybe? Either way, great showing guys (for those of you that were racing and are now in here), I enjoyed watching that more than pretty much anything I've seen on SPEED. I really hope I can get the resources and skill to get out there with you guys some day. From the looks of things I'll need to get an 06 STI to do so, though! ;)

I wonder why the Evos aren't keeping up with the STI. Stock wise, the Evo's stock turbocharger has been known to put out more power than the STI. The Evos rear suspension design is better (multilink vs. strut).

Check out my earlier post in this thread on this, but lets just say power isnt the issue. As for handling, privateer vs privateer, Im pretty sure the Evo is the better handling car (based on my experience in both), but the STI's you were watching are far from privateer level of set up. And dont forget, Kristain and Chuck are both very good Pro drivers.

If it doesn't sell by the end of December I may have to keep it. My plans were to do something else but it's hard to spend more money when you have a competitive front running car sitting in the garage.
Marty, you did a great job at Runoffs especially since you were working with a new setup. Good luck this year. My goal was top 10 as a rookie (just got my license in 05) so I am happy with 8th. Plus I kept the car damage free which was a worry of mine after watching SSC. : )

Thanks Josh/Derek, in hind site, being that Ive raced all season on a stock suspension, I would of just left it on for the Runoffs, thing is I had waited for the susp for so long, my excitement got the better of me so I put them on and hoped for the best. Since then I have them dialed in much better and the car is night and day different. My goal was top 10 as well but with such a poor qual I knew that wasnt gonna happen :). Like you I got my regional lic. in 05 did my 4 races and got the National Lic this past spring. You did an awesome job to place 8th, especially in your rookie year, as well as finsih 1st in your region. Hopefully you and Josh stick around and in 10 years from now we can reflect back to our rookie years!!
Congrats, Marty
